    Pros +

    • Location was the only redeeming quality, and it was perfect. Staff were pleasant, too, albeit not too helpful. Place was primarily a restaurant. Accommodations upstairs were an afterthought.
    • Upstairs over very nice restaurant. Perfect spot when visiting Bellagio.
    • Only the view was good

    Cons -

    • No elevator or assistance in schlepping bags up the stairs. Icky (dirty) brass room key fob. No place to put luggage (no luggage rack, closet, or shelving). Shower floor drain totally back up. No shelf or countertop in bathroom to put toiletries.
    • When booked, it showed as Ristorante Suisse. Couldn't contact via our US phone. Directions (the only road) lead us down a closed, cobblestone path into a very cool piazza. We were the only car in a sea of tables and people. After locating the restaurant and getting the key, I was told there would be parking along the road. There was none and had to walk a loooong way to find a spot. The noise from the kitchen went on well into the night. Did have the best steak.I enjoyed the two day stay, but it wouldn't be for everybody. TV didn't work.
    • The location, the staff, the bed , also there’s no heater in the whole building and we are in winter season!! We froze!!!

Lake view and the Main Street beautiful and very convenient location .

Honestly for me there was nothing not to like .

Easy walk from the ferry. We had a wonderful view of Lake Como from our room. Comfortable room and bed. Friendly staff.

You walk through the restaurant to get to the rooms upstairs, but that didn't bother us.

Perfect location in the center of all the action. Staff very friendly and wanted to make it right

room location with a "view' to all the garbage and high level of noise from the kitchen, with banging pots, bottles and loud staff conversations. Stained blanket, bedding/sheets are poor quality and floors are cleaned with chlorine which leaves strong unpleasant smell for a long time

The restaurant was good! However they tried to press us as Americans to tip. We’ve traveled quite a bit to Europe and this was definitely off putting! We felt the only reason they did so was because we’re American!

The hotel was lacking. The concierge was the hostess stand. The noise from the kitchen was very loud in the early morning hours and there was some sort of construction. It was very basic and not worth the money at all!

Great location and view. Restaurant was delicious.

Most of the staff were helpful but a few weren’t friendly and seemed bothered when I needed something. The reception desk is in main restaurant area so certain staff didn’t know how to help hotel guests and seemed bothered. Hotel will be better once they work out a few things. Some rooms were being renovated.

The staff was the only thing that was a good experience.

Overall the stay at Hotel Suisse was terrible. To start off, there is no reception area and we had to check in to our hotel at the hotel suisse restaurant. This required us to walk through people enjoying their food with all our suitcases. There is also NO ELEVATOR. This is not stated anywhere. Be prepared to have to drag your luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The hotel room had no refrigerator and no safe. Our toilet broke after using it once (the staff member that helped fix it was extremely nice). The hotel is connected to the restaurant making the rooms and hallways smell like dirty oil and rotten fish. It was nauseating to constantly smell food. After the restaurant closes, there is NO ONE in the hotel. No security, no front desk, nothing. When the restaurant closes, all the staff leaves. Around 12 AM this loud alarm started blaring and DID NOT stop. There was no staff to take care of it and it went on. We were worried it was a gas leak. We had to leave the hotel for a flight early in the morning and since there was no staff to check out with, they told us to unlock a side door to leave and to put our keys on any table inside. This meant the hotel was completely unlocked after we left which is also unsafe. Terrible experience here highly recommend booking somewhere else.

    Very bad experience.

The staffs were not nice nor care for the customers. It was very laud and noise at night till midnight to disturb our sleep. When we asked to tune down the sound, the staff (manager) was rude and confrontative to the us. This is absolutely not acceptable. We were very upset and unpleasant to stay there.

Excellent location, better when the construction next door is finished.Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The access to rooms go through the restaurant kitchen back of house , terrible smell .. the room had a drain smell all night

    Did not like it

Location is great ala u can't avoid being near busy steps full of people & Mr Panino's blaring radio.

No front desk, reception, concierge or bellman. U go to the restaurant with all ur luggage while people r trying to fine dine to ck in & basically schlep ur bags urself. No coffee provided in the room & no room service. The room was updated with a very nice bathroom to include, of all things, a sauna. Peak season is miserably hot so not too interested in that. Food in the restaurant is marginal but servers were all good along with housekeeping.

    6JordanPosted on: 5-15-2025

Sauna in the room was great. Room was spacious. The location is great and the restaurant was the best food we had in bellagio.

It was way too loud. This place is clearly a restaurant first and a hotel far second. You could hear loud cleanup until at least midnight every day and then again starting around 4/5 am. There was also construction going on, which was not clearly stated when booking, so they started hammering at 7/8 am most days.

    7DeborahPosted on: 4-24-2025

The bed and pillows were outstanding. Best sleep I had on this trip. I must get those pillows for home.

No room for toiletries in the bathroom. Mold in the shower around the base.

    7LisaPosted on: 2-21-2025

Great location and restaurant very good.

We were not told that the hotel was under renovation. They had not turned on the heating and forgot to add covers to the beds. Not a great experience, but maybe, once the work is finished, it will be better

    7BellPosted on: 2-12-2025

The hotel is currently under construction and I got the opportunity to stay in one of the updated rooms. A lot of space and got an upgrade to the room with a sauna in the bathroom. The room was comfortable, great bed and bathroom. Very bare otherwise. This is an interesting hotel as it is above a restaurant and you need to check in through the restaurant. The staff just handed me my key and sent me on my way. No information on how to access after-hours. There isn't a reception so you need to come in through a side door when the restaurant closes. The staff couldn't be any less interested if they tried. The restaurant itself was amazing. The food was pretty spectacular but be prepared to pay a premium. If you expect service and amenities then this isn't the place for you. The property was under construction so some areas were pretty messy. This is more of a restaurant with accomodation than a hotel. Don't be fooled by the name.

Service - on check in guests should be given a run down of how to access the building and shown around. Restaurant staff constantly seem bothered by your presence when you have to come in and out of the "hotel"Careless room service - upon returning to my room after a day around the lake I found that room service had left their keys in my door- allowing anyone who walked by to have access to my personal belongings. No room safe - there was no safe box in the room. This further highlights the negligence of their room service leaving keys in the door. Find a safe space for your passport and expensive items.

The location and view of the lake. Also, great service from the staff.

Bathroom was a little dated but otherwise functional.

    8AlexPosted on: 11-18-2024

Location is great; we were given front balcony room which was fantastic; we did not order the breakfast the night before, so we eat somewhere else.

When we entered the room, there was a distinguished odor that was not pleasant.

    1BerardiPosted on: 10-28-2024

Location was great, as for the rest, it was a terrible experience. The place has no business in being considered a hotel.

Kitchen smell kept migrating in our room and, the kitchen staff while preparing food nearly all night long made it impossible to sleep. No elevators and no help it taking the laggauge from the 3rd floor down at check out. After days of trying we managed to get another Hotel but unfortunately, it only eliminated one day from our misery.
