About

Owned by the Bucher family for 3 generations, Villa Serbelloni stands at the end of the Bellagio promontory, with views of Lake Como and the Alps. It features 2 gardens, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a spa with beauty center. Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni - The only Relais & Châteaux on Lake Como was transformed into a luxury 5-star hotel in 1873. The property features impressive staircases and frescoed ceilings. The grand hall, the Salone Reale, features splendid chandeliers in Murano glass. Rooms are spacious and elegant, and each offers air conditioning, an LCD TV with satellite channels, and a mini-bar. The décor is classic, with soft carpeted floors, wooden furniture, and unique details. Some rooms offer views of the lake. The Mistral Restaurant was awarded with a Michelin star in 2005, and offers the chance to eat on a refined terrace with breathtaking views. La Goletta serves regional specialties in an informal setting. A full International breakfast buffet is served daily. The spa is available for wellness and beauty treatments. Sports facilities include tennis and squash courts, and a gym with cardio-fitness machineries.

    • Location

    Cons -

    • I kept looking for the grand front entrance. I actually went all the way around looking for the main front door. Not a big deal.
    • The prices in the Mistral dining room were too high. The air conditioning had not been turned on.
    • Pretty darn expensive.

    The location was optimal

The hotel had timed off all air conditioning and heat do the entire hotel while we were there. There was no communication about this prior to booking and the hotel specifically indicated they had AC. It was extremely warm in our rooms and even having fans in them (which the hotel provided due to how hot it was in the room) did not help that much. Outside the hotel it was quite pleasant but the hotel itself was veryUncomfortable. Rooms are dated and they provide the bare basics on rooms. I would not stay here again. Definitely not worth the money.

Absolutely perfect location. Hotel property and spa are amazing. Breakfast is incredible. Service is impeccable.

As great as the hotel is (and it is spectacular!) it is hard to justify thousands of dollars a night for what was a small hotel room where the air conditioning barely worked (like most European hotels).

An iconic hotel in Bellagio, perfect location central to Lake ComoWorld class facilities & service on beautiful waterfront groundsComfortable and classically furnished suitesThree large pools, one outdoor and two indoor, including a children’s play area

The service was efficient to a fault, especially at breakfast, with plates often being removed before we were done with a dish

location and facilities amazing staff was very helpful and attentive and would go out of their way to make your stay amazing bed sheets were very comfy

food was just ok - breakfast buffet was just above average quality wise - did have a wide variety of options just nothing amazing in taste just good and they don't really let you know you can order eggs done way you want and they do nickel and dime a bit like I wanted a diet coke not coffee and they actually charged us where I had just come from another hotel across the lake and they do not not a big deal but your spending a lot so don't like that nickel and dime stuff.

The location next to ferry station The landscape was spectacular Some staff were nice & accommodating other were notThe staff at the hotel gate were very well mannered & accommodating.Tawfiq was a big add to the hotel

Ac unit available on room but you can’t operate, although i booked the room from booking & it was one of the room amenities was air conditioning!? The shower cabinet was very tight. The reception was in hidden narrow corner whereas the concierge was in a front wide corridor entrance.Although its a luxury hotel there was no welcome gesture (food or drink not even a card)in the room at time of check in nor at time of turn down service. Two nights we came to the room late by 9:30pm we found turn down service not done yet. Omelette on breakfast took 15-20 min .The hotel corridors were very warm because no air conditioning turned on nor windows left opened.

Stunning location, beautiful old hotel set back from the bustling town with stunning views to the lake and mountains and lying on their deck was simply blissful.

They wanted to charge us 300 euros for dinner even though we didn’t eat at their restaurant!!! we didn’t realize that the prices were so expensive! We cancelled too late, according to them. Last minute they said they found someone to take our place and agreed to cancel the penalty! They argued with me about it, i couldn’t believe their awful behavior! I have never ever been in such a situation. They ruined our first evening at such a beautiful place.

Beautiful hotel, amazing view, great food and fantastic staff. It was absolutely amazing and enjoyable stay! We will definitely be back.

The staff was appalling. They said they would call when our room was ready after our extended travel. They didn’t call. They tried to charge us for breakfast when it was included. Compared to Villa D’Este (which earns a 10? Serobolli is far behind.

    10ThanikaPosted on: 5-10-2025

The hotel is very beautiful at prime location and best in town, same to the price. The staff are all nice except the lad

The lady staff at the reception seem un friendly to us, no welcome smiles, and not willing to service

    10StefanPosted on: 5-4-2025

View is majestic.Location is perfect 2 min walk from the port.Garden is amazing.Staff is very polite and friendly. The interior is magnificent. The gym is very well equipped.

For a hotel of this price range there should be a welcome compliment-a bottle of wine or a fruit basket at least.

The villa is grand and elegant, with amazing amenities. The spa is beautiful, and the breakfast room is just as impressive. The location is excellent, right on the water and in the town, with a lovely garden and outdoor pool to enjoy, I can imagine how nice it would be to stay their in summer! The staff were very polite and helpful. The room had great storage, and we really enjoyed the food at La Goletta.

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, which made it difficult to sleep well. It was also tricky to manage the room temperature. Even with the thermostat, it was not easy to get it right. There was a wedding happening right next to our room. Although the music ended exactly at midnight, we had not been informed about the event, and the noise from cleaning up and moving furniture afterward was loud and quite disturbing.
