Hotel Excelsior Splendide is an Art Nouveau building of 1907. It is set on Bellagio's lakeside promenade, right in front of Lake Como and a short walk from the ferry harbor. The Excelsior Splendide offers a big hall, a well-decorated dining room, and a small outdoor swimming pool. The hotel's lakeside cafe with terrace is on the beach just across the road. The spacious rooms of Excelsior Splendide Hotel feature a satellite TV, private bathroom and telephone, and some offer a lake view. Breakfast includes coffee, pastries, ham, cheese and bread.

- Nice remodeled bathroom, elevator and breakfast
- Very spacious rooms
- Could not have asked for a better hotel. Convenient to shopping & restaurants. Breakfast was good as well as the other meals we had at the hotel. Hotel has a lot of old world charm
Cons -
- Squeaky floor in room and no soy milk in breakfast area.
- The beds are too hard. And I like a very firm bed
- The hotel had a regulator on the thermostat which controlled the temperature. We could not make the room cooler. What to lower the electric shade on the French door to keep the room cool which also blocked our view. No coffeemaker in room.
