- location, facilities.
- It's a chateau. A beautiful old building which has been sensitively modernised and is obviously well cared for.We had a huge room on top floor - an attic room very with exposed beams which has been stylishly updated.Big TVComfortable chairsVery comfy bedBedside lights bright enough to read by!Big bathroom - big bath - two sinksEfficient responsive heatingKettle and coffee machineStaff helpful when one of our bikes needed a running repair
- We were absolutely satisfied with the hotel and the staff. The room was huge and comfortable, and the bathroom was huge and clean. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The location is amazing. The hotel is located in the park. The restaurant looks like a winter garden, and it has a view on the garden with a small pond and sunbathing terrace.
Cons -
- The shower in the bath is not ideal for elderly. My mom is 75 and almost fell trying to go in and out. Other than that, everything was great
- height of the sink in the bathroom, only useful for tall people
- Bathroom lighting rather gloomyNo covered bike storage available - it's taken up by the hotel's hire bikesLocation is pleasant but the hotel is a short detour for anyone cycling along the Maas

Location and looks
Rooms are very noisy. You can hear 3 floors and all rooms!!! Besides that the ground floor rooms can flood… we had to move upstairs due to flooding bottom in middle of the night!
Staff were very good and friendly.Room was spacious,a large bathroom with a bath and the bed was comfortable. Large TV.Restaurant is nice and the meals were very good.Only 10 minutes drive too the small town of Baarlo.
Unfortunately the first night there was a huge party very close in the neighbourhood and they were playing extremely loud music from around 20:30 until exactly 05:00 the next morning so didn't get a decent night's sleep. Second Night was nice and peaceful. The same morning went to breakfast at 09:30 and practically everything was gone. No doubt there was a large group beforehand and the staff were busy with replacing but that didn't help me at this specific time. However the second day 08:30 was much better and everything was available with decent choices of thing's to eat.
Beautiful location and fabulous room for be the price I paid.
Morning coffee was cold.
Absolute wonderful location for a good hike in the forest
The towels smelled awful
Friendly smiling check in lady on reception.Lovely dining room with efficient and friendly staff.Food was well cooked and delicious. Good choices for breakfast
The location, the room size. Nice and cosy for a family.
The breakfast buffet was empty and it costs a lot of time to renew it. The quality war very good.
The building is beautiful, the room had a vintage charm, the dining room looks magnificent, the hotel park offers peaceful resting in nature.
It took some time to get the room warm.
Clean room, fine coffee, comfy bed, excellent environment
Breakfast was supposed to be available until 11, but by 10 a lot of the food was already gone, and you had to ask for a separate plate and cutlery. The tinned fruit was rotten :(
Staff, cleanliness, gorgeous building, beautiful bathroom products. I have never stayed at a Fletcher hotel before but was super impressed. The staff is top notch. Very friendly and professional. It felt like they are happy to work there. We were upgraded to the bridal suite. What a huge surprise and immense space and luxury. Gorgeous experience. Would highly recommend and will now actively look for Fletcher hotels to stay at in the future.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean rooms.Safe and secured location.a great location.A special thanks to Roos Maryn- at the reception, who was very attentive, professional and always ready to help.
The gardens are amazing. Special mention to the team who maintain them unfortunately the rest of our experience gets a big no!
Staff were unfriendly, unprofessional, rude and the food was passable at the very best. The room had dirty carpets, bed small and uncomfortable. Not made to feel welcome at all and our room was expensive for being shoved into a tiny room, behind and above the kitchen with no view. Hotel was in disarray, unused fridges left at the bottom of our stairs. Mood of the hotel is very unwelcoming due to attitude of the staff. Service was non existent and where slightly evident, it was unprofessional, sloppy and we felt like we were “irritating” the restaurant staff. Safe to say we never tipped any of the staff. Such a pity really as this was expensive. I think they like to focus on being a wedding venue of sorts but this is not where I’d spend my hard earned money.
Lovely setting
Felt it had known better days. Nowhere to even get a coffee as no staff. Just looks a bit sad.
Good and comfortable bed.Bathroom with good shower but smells.Coffee & tea in the room is nice.Lovely location lots of nature.
1/3 of the room was a low roof and to get to my side of the bed I had to hit my head twice.Unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Seems to be drainage problem.Had to walk through the restaurant, going up and down multiple stairs to reach the room.
a beautiful old building previously occupied by an Earl and later used as a convent for Nuns.located in a lush environment of trees.friendly staff and a very good breakfast offered, although the age of the building rooms and facilities are top.outside sitting arrangements are excellent
elevator was out of order
VERY comfortable beds (I blame them for oversleeping the clock), clean room, nice personel. Very nice room!
The food in the restaurant for dinner is top class. We travelled with 4 persons and enjoyed very different orders from bisque to rib-eye and all the food that was served during dinner was really, really good - kudos to the chefs! Location is good if You have a car and want to stay in a relaxed setting - we also enjoyed a 11 km morning jog around Baarlo, during this time of spring - very nice! Room was big (suite) and comfortable (with private balcony).
Service during dinner - hectic.
