This historic 4-star hotel is in the center of the Bavarian town of Beilngries. It offers a sauna and regional cuisine. The family-run Hotel Fuchsbräu is a former historic brewery dating from 1872. All rooms are decorated in a modern, country-house design and include a desk, TV and free WiFi. A breakfast buffet is provided each morning at the Fuchsbräu. Seasonal and regional dishes are served in the restaurant, conservatory or on the terrace. There are many hiking and cycling paths near the Fuchsbräu, here in the Altmühl Valley Nature Park.

- great location in the middle of nice little town, very clean and well maintained room, delicious and varied breakfast, hotel has parking space available in the nearby parking lot which is great advantage, very decent hotel restaurant with not too bad locally brewed beer :)

- 1. Cat's owners beware! hotel charged us full rate of 20 EUR for a cat - same as for example 40kg German Shepherd. It is the most ever we paid in any hotels in EU we've been so far. Usually, cats fee is on big discount or completely free. "Cleaning fee" is poor excuse as cats are usually very well maintained and leave almost zero traces in the room vs dogs. Feeling ripped off :(2. IF you are not fan of very soft mattresses or pillows you will suffer.3. IF you happen to stay during hotter season, you will suffer. No aircon and almost zero airflow inside the room.4. Our room had one missing set of towels which was clearly a mistake. Just for the record.

- We ended up booking two rooms because it wasn't clear in booking.com that you could sleep 5 people in Suite 1.

We stayed in Suite 1 and were blown away. Beautiful room in two levels. Sleep up to 5 people. Suite 2 is even bigger. The staff were super kind and there was a nice atmosphere.Just 2 min walk from hotel, there is a park with a river and a good size playground.
We ended up booking two rooms because it wasn't clear in booking.com that you could sleep 5 people in Suite 1.
nice personal, quiet room, good breakfast
Beilngries is a lovely town, and made a good base for exploring the area. Local restaurants (including this hotel’s) are excellent, and retail options are good. Fuchsbrau staff are friendly and accommodating, and very helpful. I will stay here again when I am back in Germany — highly recommended!
My double room would be considered a single elsewhere
