Mahdia Beach & Aquapark is located in Mahdia, less than 25 mi from the Monastir International Airport. The hotel offers traditional Tunisian architecture, a large outdoor swimming pool and garden. It is set directly on a beautiful beach of fine sand in the touristic area of Mahdia. The 420 rooms of the hotel have a garden view or a sea view. The hotel offers 4 themed restaurants, Sofra with its international cuisine, La tienda with its Mediterranean cuisine , La Cascatta with Italian cuisine and a snack bar as well as 4 bars. The hotel has a large Aqua Park with free access for guests staying at the hotel.The hotel offers an entertainment team, who plan varied programs for children and adults. Water sport activities are possible on site for free as well as the training. Relax and enjoy the sunshine, fine sand and seawater all day long in the best seafront of the Tunisia coastline. - I was charged way more than booking.com had on the site
- This was by far the worst hotel I stayed in, in my life. Hotels cheaper than this offer more. Cleanliness and hygiene is extremely poor. Staff is absolutely unwilling to help and not cooperative. I'd like to express my extreme displeasure at your hotel when I booked in. When I got to my room, I took a shower and it was completely blocked up! The shower itself was very dirty even before I showered. The toilet has shit on it and it seems cleaning and hygiene is very bad. I went downstairs and told the receptionist about it and said I'd like another room due to those reasons. He affirmatively said he can't as there are no rooms available. He said he would call the plumber and cleaner. Offended by his solution to the hotel's problem, I insisted he provide me with another room and not further inconvenience me and waste my time. He further insisted he couldn't. At this point, you can imagine my level of frustration. I came from hours of a dusty road to a very expensive hotel, but management fails to do quality checks before guests move in to the rooms. It took 2 hours of my time for him to place me. This totally messed up my plans for the evening. This hotel is far from what it promises. We were also told the breakfast will be open from 4am as we will be fasting, but of course we came down to boiled eggs and cakes. The chef refused to make an omlet. Furthermore, there is no mini bar or a bottle of water in the room the water park was not operational as stated on Bookings.com. We asked for a refund for the remaining days as this hotel could not provide the service to its guests as promised, but we did not get the full refund.
