Pros +
- Loved relaxing in the spa area and soaking in the whirlpool.
- Very friendly staff , place big and clean , food good , bar very nice.
- Great property and location. Good breakfast. Nice rooms
Cons -
- Staff didn't confront adults in spa who brought their young children into the spa area even though posted signs clearly stated spa area was restricted to 14+ year olds.
- That you have to go 'nude ' in the sauna , steam room ......this is not good in this day and age ....especially with kids running around the place ...I know it is Austria ...but we dont all come from Austria or Germany .One should have a choice to go naked or wear swimming clothes . Not everyone feels 'cool ' walking around naked ....it should be a choice and up to the person to go naked or not . A lot of people do not feel 'comfortable' naked in front of a lot of strangers .....we did not like this . ...it would not be part of our culture .We went for to use the sauna and steam rooom but did not use them as we did not want to go naked !
- Didn't have an a la cart menu for dining and although the buffet wasn't bad in terms of quality. We just did not find the dishes to our liking. The additional beds in the living room had a mattress which felt like wood. My daughter of 3 also complained about the hardiness.

Great property and location. Good breakfast. Nice rooms
Breakfast was nice and spacious rooms and the reception staff was very helpful and friendly.

Spacious rooms. Great wellness center.
Parking is a problem - just adding some lines in the parking lot could help reduce the chaos.
The location was wonderful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. i will sure book in this hotel again.
Rooms, staff responsibility
Cleanliness, The room was cleaned after 5 days instead of 3
Staff friendly introduced the hiking trail
Smell of the toilet I cannot sleep, and they’re bees in the room
Bellevue Bad Gastein Hotel exceeded my expectations - rooms were big, comfortable and with necessary amenities (we stayed in the Apartment); facilities were great - clean swimming pool and sauna (friendly guys doing the sauna “aufguss” ritual twice a day!); free kids club (big plus for families with young kids); good choice of food (buffet for breakfast and dinner) which makes it easy for families.
Our apartment was tidied up once in 3 days (beds were made, towels changed), but there was no vacuum cleaning - after 5 days of our stay the floor started looking a bit dirty.
The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The traditional décor gives you a real feel of the Austrian alps and the bar is a great place to sit and admire the view, which is stunning. Our apartment was huge with a balcony and glorious views and had absolutely everything you’d be likely to need . Breakfast was generous, served in a lovely environment, again with splendid views. The pool and jacuzzi were brilliant. We had a marvellous stay and hope to return. Thank you to all the staff who made us so welcome.
Great size rooms, great facilities and right in the town.
The staff was friendly friendly and helpful
The car parking is a little bit confusing to find. You have to drive to a steep hill.
Great Appartement, spacious and practical. Great beds!
Lack of kitchen Equipment
Beautiful hotel, very helpful staff, comfortable rooms. In the centre of Bad Gastein but again only 10 minutes uphill walk from sloops.
The only "problem" were uncomfortable pillows but great hotel staff resolved this immediately when we complained.
Loved the staff, facilities, food was amazing as well as location
The room was not really a typical hotel room but a fully loaded appartment which was a nice supprise.
Booked via Booking.com and in the description it said free parking, however there was not free parking available. This was disappointing and caused inconvience as walking around this area is not easy when carring Boards and Boots. The room was kind of old and was noticable in the wet area of the room (mould, cracked tiles....). I disliked having to get food from a buffet and prefer being served.
The room we stayed in was big and comfortable considering we were travelling with a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Location of the hotel is great, walking distance to the lift, old center, restaurants. The pool and whirlpool were a plus after a day skiing. We had dinner at the hotel a couple of times and the food was very good. We also played bowling which was fun
The only comment I have is that the policy is only to change the towels and bed sheets once every 3 days (which is fine) but the room and bathrooms are not cleaned even if you stay one week, which was our case. If you want the room to be cleaned, you have to pay extra. This is the first time I see something like this in a hotel. Daily cleaning is not needed but it should be offered for free when the towels and bed sheets are changed
Beautiful mountains and location, friendly staff, tasty breakfast and dinner, and good enough saunas and spa area
You can experience a parking issue, but we paid for this one near the entrance, so it was fine. The room for table tennis and playing pool needs some better ventilation system. The internet could be better as well.
Front desk staff ,especially Adis, was very gracious and helpful. I'd rate the hotel 4.5 stars.Luxurious bed and linens, huge room, plenty of hot water in shower. The exquisite Art Deco furnishings and designs are tastefully done. The dinner buffet was excellent, with a wide choice that changed nightly. The hotel's location is convenient because it sits midway in the ravine. Easy walk both down to the waterfalls, and up to the top, although better to use hotel shuttle for the upward trek (3 Euros). The hotel itself has both a luxurious and casual atmosphere. I hope to return to the hotel soon.
WiFi did not work well in my room.I noticed others joined me in the lobby for better internet reception .Breakfast buffet choices were below par.Few offerings and too small a dining space to accommodate all guests,at least on weekends. The 2 elevators were consistently very crowded and slow especially in the mornings.
Room was spacious and very nice, including 2 toilets (one separate and one in bathroom)Well equipped kitchen corner and fridgePlenty of activities like swimming, sauna, other wellness activities, table tennis, billiard, kids playroomGreat breakfast and dinner buffet, including sweet desert and fresh carrot and apple juice in the morningNice paintings in halls and hallwaysSki room accessible directly from room without leaving the hotelClose to the ski lift (up the steep hill, but possible walking back in ski shoes carrying skis)Close to the Spar shopping mallHelpful and friendly staffDogs allowed! :)Comfortable beds in bedrooms (see the negatives for details)Roses for ladies and chocolate desert included in Valentine dinner :)
Folding beds (stored in vertical position in closet) in the living room. Those were very uncomfortable and had a separated mattresses around 30cm from the edge, so they can fold. This made the very uncomfortable break and not supporting area below your neck. Even when we lied down the other way, the mattress was still too hard (and I like hard mattresses, but this was simply too much). Hotel also provide ski shuttle, which can take you directly to ski lift, but it cost 3 eur per person one way! This is really shame, as for the room price, this service should have been free or at least priced per trip and not per person. Also they do not drive you to the SportGastein, which is another ski lift included in the gastein ski ticket further away. They only vacuum the room after 7 days, so basically after you leave. And change towels and empty trash per request. With dog's fur this was not the best way how to clean the room.
