About
Few hotels in Aosta Valley can boast the same proximity to 2 of the most impressive buildings in the area: the castles of Saint-Pierre and Sarriod de la Tour. This is why Hotel Residence Chateau, in the center of Saint Pierre, is so special. Both of the awe-inspiring castles are visible from most of the room windows, and can be reached in a 5-minute walk. Hotel Residence Chateau is the ideal stop when traveling to France, Switzerland and Italy, and is also a convenient starting point for charming walks to the valleys of Cogne, Rhemes and Valsavarenche. The family managing the hotel, runs it from 3 generations. Take advantage of their great knowledge of the area for a truly interesting and active stay. During winter season the hotel may only be reserved for long stays or weekly stays.

Pros +
- Nice stuff. Good croissants at breakfast.
- Clean. Big rooms. Daily room service. Free parking. Only one key card per room.
- Great small hotel with spacious rooms and really comfortable beds. The staff is incredible - invisible when all is fine, but there for you as soon as you need anything - and everything is spot clean. The internet connection is stable and blazingly fast. Breakfast is simple, but of best quality and caters to all tastes. Croissants must be made in house since they were warm and crispy every single morning. For the daily needs, there are also a bar and a small shop in the house (both close in the evenings, so no noise disturbance in the night); in less than 5mins by foot there are a few more stores and Aosta is less than 10mins away by car. Parking is ample around the hotel.Added bonus - my room overlooked the mountains.
Cons -
- Lack of natural light in the room. The lights made some noise almost all night long. The heating water system was noisy. Nothing hot at the breakfast. Only 3 savory options, everything else was sweet. There was no blanket in the room. We had to bring one from the car.
- Several things:- as there is coffee bar downstairs and bakery, if you have room above or besides, there is noice starting from 5 a.m., also people speak with each other at highest possible voice when sitting 10 meters apart. So long sleep - forget it- little too cold, although temperature is regulated and batteries are hot, it is still too cold in the rooms, as ceiling is too high and heeting is switched off sometimes centrally- breakfast. Nothing warm. Not even boiled egss available. Unless you eat five types of cookies and 10 types of jam, the selectios is rather poor. We had to bring our own cereal from shop, as the ones available were tasteless. Our friends did not go for breakfast at all after 1st day, as they did not find much to eat. There is hidden kitchen in each room, but it is charged extra if you want to use it.
- The weather.....I couldn't see the beauty of the environment

Great location close to both nature and Aosta, parking and grocery stores nearby.
All was very good , nice place to stay in Aosta Valley., Very comfortable bed and good breakfast.Nice staff, thanks ?
The weather.....I couldn't see the beauty of the environment
View of the castle and mountains was really nice.
The hotel is very close to busy road which you hear in the room. There was no AC which made our stay really uncomfortable as it was 31C outside.
Excellent location, fantastic views, friendly staff
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere, frequented also by the locals, which is always a good sign. Bus stop directly outside.
Wasn't really a problem, but there wasn't enough tables to accommodate all the hotel guests at breakfast time.
The hotel is in a fabulous position in a beautiful town. Amazing pizza restaurant close by, clean large room with awesome breaky.
The church bells chime until 10:30pm and start again at 6:30am.
Very nice staff and very clean. Lovely breakfast and great location including parking (free public parking across the road from the hotel)
No issues at all.
Second time in this very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean, staff is attentive. All in all really good, recommended if you are in the area.
The facilities are very comfortable. Breakfast is super.
It is a bit far from the city but with a car there is no problem
Very spacious, comfortable and clean room.Beautiful scenery around.Friendly staff.20 minutes bus ride to aosta, and about 20 minutes a bus
Suburban location. Groceries and restaurants are not abound..No elevator.
Cosy room with great view, nice breakfast, polite and helpful employees
Ceiling and wall lamp blew my mind by its snap sound during about half an hour after turning the lamps off. You wont sleep untill snap is over. That because of stupid lamp design with sheet list which snaps during cooling
The view of the chateau and the staff were very helpful.
The room would be more comfortable with air-conditioning as it was a hot day and night.
I liked everything especially the location.
I had a room at the front of the building, which was noisy due to the road and the bar downstairs. But, that is the case only during summer if the room window is open. I do not know if that would be a case if I had a room not on the front.
Perfect for a stop over on the way back to France from the Italian mountains. Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff and a great cappuccino served in the bar area!!
Spacious, clean rooms, Nice breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking in front of the hotel. Not far from Aosta. Excellent restaurant "Dal Fornaro del Castello" with delicious pizzas visible from the hotel windows and 5 minutes walk. Nice view from the hotel balcony and windows towards the Saint-Pierre Castle and the mountains. at 7.30 I woke up from the ring of bells at the church nearby, but that was beautiful melody, not just ding-dong.
no elevator, but we did not expect that anyway in the chalet.
Nice location, right below the Chateau :) The price was very competitive. The room was big (with a kitchen).
There is no on-premises parking, but there is a public parking right across the street. The EV charger needed a card to use, which I didn't have. It's an older building and there is no elevator to the floor. The room was weirdly floorplanned with a balcony exit right in the washroom...
Interesting property, spacious room, good facilities, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast
