    Pros +

    • The hotel was wonderful, great staff, communication, and breakfast was top notch.
    • Very nice old charm hotel in good location and lovely breakfast
    • A quiet place of country mountain side valley, perfect for a stop in-between, view, castle, quite, was visiting in full on winter though. I did enjoy my stay very much.

    Cons -

    • There was no staff present at check-in. Even though it was only 6 PM. This is not a four-star hotel experience. There were a lot of steps, requiring multiple trips to carry our luggage up to the first elevator. We were given a code for the front door
    • Close to a busy road, hard to walk anywhere.
    • 1. after completing online check-in you are not provided building entrance door code so you have to wait outside and ask it owners.2. wifi. we couldnt get a wifi. Printed instructions in room were outdated. Owner tryed to help via chat, sent a tutorial video, but it was prerecorded and outdated. Didnt suggest physical help by staff to connect. Owner then stated that our 2 different phones are the problem. But room TV also had no internet to connect Youtube/Netflix. so...3. Shower frame breakage fixage by adhesive roll wasnt expected at 4* hotel

The interior of the hotel is very characteristic of the Valle d'Aosta region—excellent location along the road. Very high comfort level - thank you!

There were some misunderstandings at the check-in due to the lack of personnel at 6 PM, but fortunately, they were well-solved through direct phone calls. However, in 4* hotels we would expect attended check-in.

Nicely decorated. Feels cozy and warm.

Terrible sound isolation. I could hear the couple in the adjacent room having a great time, but sadly for me it meant I couldn’t sleep till 1:30am and I had to wake up very early.

    Location, good size triple room.

    Clean but dated design.

Property was nice in a cool position. Room was ok

Staff was not present during the day. It was self check-in with all the keys left in the reception’s desk. Staff was present just in the morning. Services provided are definitely not at 4 star level.

Best breakfast ever. Lot’s of homemade jams cookies etc.Staff great. We asked to store a couple of bags and the staff were very accommodating. Afternoon self check-in was seamless. Notable interior hand carved joinery. Comfotable beds. Central and easy to find. Great take off point for hiking. Good parking. Great value for money. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again

Very charming place, spacious and clean bedroom and bathroom .

The staff was very receptive to our requests. The location was excellent, enabling us to go around the area very easily. Parking was available free of charge. The rooms had all the facilities we needed with a balcony overlooking the mountains.

The rooms were slightly warm and we had to keep the door to the balcony open for fresh air.

    Bad

I was unable to get to the hotel as the tunnel closed at 7.30pm. I asked for a refund and had no response.

Quaint place in the Aosta valley.

No one present at arrival, and we were not provided the access code. Luckily, the owner (?) saw us trying to check in, but was rude telling that we must have received the code, when we certainly had not. There was no hot water in the evening, so shower was cold. Not great water pressure either. There's a breakfast option which requires registering first. We weren't told/given the option to register, so there was no breakfast option for us.

I arrived very late and the person to greet me was super friendly and nice.

I could’ve arrived earlier, but that’s my fault ha ha

Good location for where we went.Excellent onsite restaurant ran separately. A bit higher price but worth it. Quality. The amuse-bouche was amazing and the "butter on the stone.". . You get what you pay. Will be back to eat.

Quite noisy being located on the main road. ear plugs may help.

    9StephenPosted on: 4-27-2024

    Great friendly hotel

No option for extras, e.g. bar, with limited options within walking distance, this would give it 10/10

Everything was super - great instructions, and possibility to check in very late. The room was very nice and clean and the breakfast was good.

Comfortable clean, warm, quiet room (facing the back)A kettle in the room, could make a cup of tea :-)Lots of antics, beautiful.Convenient car park at the back.

Could hear the guy next room talking, bad luck, never experienced a guy can talk so long, non stop. We paid the tourist tax (to the student receptionist) when we checked in as we said we could just leave in the morning. However, in the morning at the car park, when we were preparing to leave, a lady from the hotel, asked about the tourist tax. It was a bit embarrassing...but no big issue.

Amazing, cozy ambiente! If you like to have a ambience with character, a lot of wood, old nostalgia elements, old paintings and pictures and so one...this is the perfect place. Everything looks like from another time in a good sense and the place got a lot of character. We were really amazed about the superb shower and the bathroom (everything made out of wood), the comfortable beds, the spacious room and also the beautiful very cosy social/breakfast room downstairs. There is a free parking space and 24/7 check-in. Beautiful place! 10 of of 10.

The lady with the blond "Amelie"-Haircut at the reception got really angry when we could not pay the local overnight-stay-fee by cash. It was 2 € pP. We wanted to pay by credit card like everywhere in Italy. In Italy you usually don't need cash anymore because even in the most distant or strange places you can pay by credit card so we thought it is not an issue. Anyway, she refused payment by credit card. I offered a bank transfer to the IBAN of the hotel. She refused that also. In a third try I offered to transfer to her privat bank account the 4 Euro so she could pay out the sum from her private pocket into the cash register. But "No, no, no" and the typical Italian "get out of my eyes"- gestures. Really unfriendly! So first we were really glad to have spent a night in the really beautiful hotel but after this experience we left in a "WTF was this?!"-mood the place. Sorry, thus had to be mentioned. Nobody should threat like this a customer in my opinion, especially as we offered viable solutions for the matter.
