Atropat Old City Hotel

The hotel is located in the Old Town, relatively close to the Maiden Tower, the center of the old town, and the city gates.

The TV, refrigerator, and bedside lamps in our room did not work.

Great location, though getting the taxi ask the way to the door can be complicated and adds 3 manat to any trip. Clean and sizable space with desk and bedside outlets.

No hot water kettle for coffee or tea in the room. Duvet was small for two people to share.

It’s central location and views! But more than that the nice staff!

Stayed here recently and absolutely loved it! The hotel is right in the center of the Old City, surrounded by historic sights - perfect for exploring. Rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

WiFi doesn’t work, on the bed comforter is too small for double bed.

First, it is in the old city, every resort is in foots. Breakfast was delicious. The staff is friendly and English spoken and eager to help, work efficiently.

Reception was very nice and helpful room was spacious and clean also bathroom was very clean it is located in old city near grocery stores and restaurants and 10 minutes walk to nizami street

bed was not comfortable and cars need to pay 2 manat to enter the old area

The guest before me was smocking in the room, rooms have ashtray in front of the window that provokes to smock while I have not seen any sign of non smocking room and penalty for it, however, reception told me it's not smocking room and the previous quest was fined.

The staff ...you had to ask many times for a thing. The furniture îs îs outdated.

Location is perfect for tourism. It's in the middle of the Old City and there are plenty of things to see around, just a nice area to walk in and some decent restaurants for going out.The only good thing about the hotel itself is that the rooms are quite spacious. The breakfast is passable, that's it.

Everything looks as if there was once a normal hotel there a long time ago (lobby, furniture, etc.), but it was not taken care of and everything fell into disrepair.The staff is polite, but sometimes you had to ask for something several times. For example, cleaning. We expected cleaning to happen at least once every two days, but in fact they only came when you asked about it.The rooms are not always clean (dust), not all light bulbs and switches work, sockets in the bathroom fall out of the wall, the bathtub falls apart and leaks, etc. and so on. From a distance everything looks tolerable, but up close it becomes clear that everything is bad.Linen and towels seem to be clean, but very worn, sometimes with unwashable stains or holes.We even moved to another room, but everything was more or less the same.

The location is good, the room is bigger, breakfast is better.

The staff is friendly on First night that I was allowed pay with credit card for room, that guy didn’t allow who pay with for the room on second night, I felt terrible when I checked out.

This was one of the first hotels in the Old City, I was told. On the plus side, rooms are of good size and all beds seem to be king-size. Cleaning staff are very considerate - they only come in to clean if you put a label on the door for this - I like this feature as we stayed in the rooms on some mornings. Breakfast varies a bit every day and was generally sufficient for us.

Ok, so the hotel is aging and you'd find old equipment (TVs don't really work, rather loud noise of electric switch in my room, some humming equipment in the ceiling, and then air-con failed throughout - luckily weather also turned cooler). If you need good internet - forget it. They also do not take card payments - this is anachronism. Do NOT pay in Euro or $ - they used very bad exchange rate compared to nearby banks!

This hotel is inside old city area. It is very close to all sightseeing places of Baku. The room was very neat and clean. I had stayed for one night only. I haven't had breakfast. Overall its a good place to stay.
