the rooms are great, clean and spacious for the price. Loved the balcony as well! Staff was very helpful and friendly. You could tell they enjoyed doing their job! Prices in the restaurant were very fair, especially for this Ticino area.

The food needs a little improving... the pasta could have been a bit more seasoned, for example.

Clean. Phenomenal breakfast. Accommodating staff. Enough parking.

Nothing it was one of the worst hotel experiences

Word of warning!..I wouldn't stay here again, the temperature of the room in summer is unbelievable hot and stuffy even with no sun heat getting in, the fan didn't work, me and my partner couldn't sleep all night. We have a cat so filtered booking for pets allowed. And told them upfront we have a cat. After I paid and checked out I got an angry phone call saying they don't accept cats and sent me an extra bill of 100chf which I definitely shouldn't have paid but just wanted to be done dealing with them, there was no damage to the room. They need to remove that pets are allowed. It is listed nowhere that cats are not allowed. Really horrible experience. Never again would I stay here.

our room with small balcony wi~fi signal on/off.very irritating.Sit outside balcony signal totally blocked.Given 01 small noisy fan for hot summer.Boss & staff no patience in helping us.Tell them so many times,kept telling us got signal until I told staff to come up to our room to check.After connect router at main corridor,still no signal. Tell them again,boss said i am rude.Staff didn^t tell me must pay for 01 bottle of water when I asked for it.Forged my signature on receipt without my knowledge.Have to tell staff for hot~water kettle.Not.value for moneye~mail directions to their hotel before coming.kept replying in Italian which I dont understand

The staff is wonderful and friendly. I was there for 2 weeks so they made sure I had what I needed to be comfortable.

The rooms are basic, which is what one would expect from a 2 star hotel at this price point. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how nice the rooms were.

Double room with connection door.Clean.The breakfast was relatively rich and tasty.

There was a bad smell of cigarettes in the room that did not go away.There was no inner door in the elevator- maybe you should hang a warning sign.

Clean, comfortable, good sized room with covered balcony, bathroom and separate WC. Central location with access to Ascona lakeside, restaurants and shops. Warm welcome from the staff. Excellent breakfast with good coffee.

The room was very clean, and the location is perfect in the city centre. Staff was really nice and even availible late night.

Unfortunately there was no Airconditioning so the stay was rather unpleasant bcs it was so hot outside (35C°) would not be a problem if its not so hot outside.

It‘s a very nice place to stay - we often stay at Osteria Ticino if we are visiting Ascona - verd nice people, nice rooms and good prices. It is very good located and the breakfest is very nice!

the heating in the room was too strong which we could not control and had to leave the windows open.

People are allowed to smoke on the balcony. If you’re next to such a room, your room will also smell if door or window is open.

Location was great - a short walk to downtown Ascona. The restaurant was very nice, good food, lovely atmosphere and some nice amari to try. They also had a place to keep our bicycles overnight (as we were bike touring).

The room was small and we had an adjoining room (a locked door) to a couple who were literally having a good bit of 'slap and tickle' throughout the night....glad you are enjoying your stay, but at 3am I am happy to sleep, not listen to you going at it like rabbits!

Very friendly staff and clean room

The walls are thin and you hear a lot of noise. People sitting outside may keep you awake if you want to sleep early. Bring ear plugs.

It was such a great surprise!A 2 stars Hotel that could easily get 4 stars from my side!Staff was incredibly helpful and gentle! They made us feel home immediately. Reception young man that checked us in and the owner were super kind and friendly. We had dinner at Carcani Restaurant, which belongs same owners, and it was phenomenal! We will never forget that fantastic new years evening! Just wait for us cause we will see you for sure in Summer!?

A frequent bus ride from Locarno station and 5 minutes walk from lake promenad, yet in a pretty quiet streat. Room was simple, clean and comfortable, breakfast was superb. The place has a restaurant owened by the same owners with absolutly fantastic food and decent pricing. Lots of locals there, and this is of course the best reccomendation.... It looks like both hotel and testaurant are run with love! Hope to stay there again.
