The hotel is located right on the lake front, with great views and proximity to activities and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast buffet was nice, and we ate out on a terrace with a lovely view of the lake.

The Hotel is a nice 3 Star Hotel with quite big rooms comfortable Beds nice bathroom. The Staff is very friendly and helpful.

A espresso for breakfast would be good only Filtercoffe available

Was perfect location and room with lake view. Hotel exactly on lake promenade and a lot of restaurants around.

Facilities for breakfast was limited and hotel car parking little bit far away, we just used city parking it’s was more comfortable.

The hotel leads directly onto the lakeside with its trees, restaurants and waterfront terraces. Its at the quieter end of the street close to the departure point for the boats and just a few steps form the charming small alleys of the old town. Wonderful to wake up to a lake view. The reception were very welcoming and happy to help. I was able to borrow a bicycle to visit a local museum. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is extraordinary- in the center of the old town right in front of the lake. The hotel owner and the staff were welcoming, and happy to help in every way. The room, facing the lake, was charming, comfortable and quiet. The hotel, an old house turned into a hotel, is beautiful, and has a terrace facing the lake that is absolutely wonderful.

While corner terrace of room 102 facing the beautiful Piazza and the lake was breathtaking on its own, the staff has been friendly and accommodating, up-to-date air conditioning provided us with the necessary cool and the location could not be any more central with the boat pier and dozens of restaurants in immediate walking distance. I will definitely be back :)

The included breakfast was significantly smaller than in the previous stay.

Very friendly stuff - everyone from the reception to the room service is nice and friendly! Everything works smoothly and uncomplicated. Easy to feel comfortable and immediately relax.They repair the shower even before I mentioned that something was not working properly. When I came back in the evening the shower was working perfectly again.Amazing common terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful view on the lake!

Hotel Tomaro came as a surprise as I wasn't expecting wide stone-flagged hallways with antique furniture and rugs. Oil painings adorn the walls. There are even sumptuous sitting rooms should you want a quite place for reading or a chat. My room was well appointed, spacious and clean. The view across the lake is magnificent and well-worth the extra. The value is exceptional.

I found the feather pillows to provide no support and would have preferred foam or latex. I also found the sound of furniture being moved upstairs grating - surely some rubber feet would fix that?And then there was the breakfast - a few slices of cold meat and cheese, a small cup of muesli and machine coffee leaves a lot to be desired. They could do so much better.

The hotel is a little gem in the centre of Ascona, a truly warm and classic atmosphere in the best sense possible. The founding family is still in charge after 3 generations and you can feel the personalised care and attention for the guests. The views from the roof terrace are amazing and the whole structure is special, there are hidden treasures in every corner, including the art collection all over the property. It was an fantastic stay.

Cousy hotel in the best location in Ascona. Warm personnel. It is highly recomended to get a room with vews over the lake. This makes indeed the difference. Enjoy the small saloons and the library, and also the roof terrace. Shuttle service to the parking very convenient.
