The location is very convenient. The Hotel lies in the Heart of Ascona with only a few steps to everywhere downtown. The place is run professionally and very clean. The room was rather hot and I had to open the window. But some like it hot,...

I could not eat the pre-payed breakfast as I had to leave too early -- bummer.

This was perhaps the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Besides that, accommodations were excellent for a small hotel. Breakfast was wonderful and staff was friendly and caring. Location excellent, right around the corner from the lake.

walking distance to lake only 100 meters....also good for parking as they have a parking close by which has a good daily rate of 18 CHF....hotel advise nicely how to use it...and still can drive to hotel to unload or load language...rooms are not too big but smart layout...big bed and big bathroom

Great location within a short walking distance from the lake. We had bikes and were allowed to take them to our room. New interior, modern style.

Al Torchino Charme is a great hotel very centrally located in Ascona. the hotel was modern and well equipped.The staff were really helpful and friendly.The hotel overall is a great value for money and I would put 5 stars if the breakfast was better.Property doesn’t have a parking but you can park shortly for checkin and check out. There is a discount for the city parking please request.

Breakfast could bring improved very mediocre and the area should be more protected from insects (e.g. flies)

Nothing, all just great

Wonderful and helpful staff, which was exceptionally friendly and professional, provided very helpful tips for stay/ area/ outings, with great communication. Learned, that the building has a lot of interesting history. Impeccably clean place. Spacious room and bathroom. Tasty, high quality and varied breakfast. Located in a (quiet, high quality) pedestrian zone, but accessible by car to drop off bags. Just a very short walk to the lakeside promenade, with lots of restaurants, and the boat landing. We had a great couple of days there and loved the area.

The room we stayed at felt as if it was not following the rest of the hotel. The hotel has a mix of traditional and new but the room felt only newParking was not at location (not possible to be at location as the hotel is in the old town) but super easy to park and access to check in and out

The downstairs part was very lovely and charming but the rooms etc. were a bit ‘cold’ and not charming at all.

Breakfast has all you need to start your day in a European or even North American style.

The only thing that is missing is parking. For a weekend the price at the local parking not far away from the hotel is ok-ish. For a week it starts to become expensive. So, some discount from the hotel would definitely be a plus.

The hotel, although quite expensive, is... just okNo fridge, no restaurant, no coffee machine, a very just breakfast, no meeting rooms, VERY loud bathroom 'extractors', small and badly located TVs, no parking .. Nothing seriously bad. Its just ok. But the cost is WAY far more than ok. And yes, Ascona is expensive, but this hotel is as expensive as some neighbouring places, but way less good. Not bad, but meh... staff very friendly, but at the end it's a very expensive Ibis

Newly renovated rooms. Nice bathroom. Confortable bed.In the family accomodation, rooms separated by real door, not just some fancy visual separation. Large table in the second room.No noise at night. Good breakfast in quiet inner yard.

we have to park the car further away at a local parking garage, because there is no parking at the hotel.

Location was great, rooms were clean and well kept. The bathroom space large. The gentleman on reception was very kind and lent us an adaptor.

No tea/coffee in the room, it was available (for free) in a communal kitchen area.

This cozy place has been renovated with a lot of love. They pay great attention to details, are very friendly and willing to assist with any request you may have.
