    Pros +

    • Beautiful facility, great breakfast, comfortable room
    • Near Saint Emillion and Pomerol. Quite and easy to travel around and explore other medieval towns through Dordogne valley.
    • Location is great, so quiet and beautiful, surrounded by vineyards. Very cared facility. Great service! Pool was a lot of fun. Breakfast delicious!

    Cons -

    • The restaurant has a very limited variety especially if you travel with kids.
    • Nothing special to consider
    • Probably better suited to a non winter trip as too cold, wet and windy to enjoy setting and gorgeous outdoor pool obviously closed at this time of year

Beautifully designed and exquisitely furnished amidst endless vineyards

Very well kept property, great service and breakfast, but overall very expensive in comparison with other similar places

    8LindaPosted on: 8-21-2024

Beautiful property; welcoming staff, liked the outdoor space for relaxing

The shower in our room was extremely feeble. As the restaurant was closed in the evening for 2 nights when we were there - it felt a bit remote - and local taxis were very expensive and unreliable.

    Really clean, pretty, excellent staff

    9SamanthaPosted on: 8-6-2024

Beautiful hotel, very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was also lovely!

Location was in the middle of nowhere, nearest supermarket was 30 min walk away Breakfast was overpriced for what it was, for a family of 4 it would have been £300 for just a continental breakfast

    10VincentPosted on: 8-4-2024

The atmosphere, the staff, the food, the wines.

There was no shower stall, only a bathtub with a short shower hose.

    10RichardPosted on: 6-23-2024

    Super staff. Quiet. Very comfortable.

Both the dining and breakfast areas need sound barriers and rearrangement.

A lovely chateau in the middle of the countryside (lovely views of vineyards). The room was comfortable and very clean. Walking distance to the nearest village with restaurant, small supermarket, bakery, etc. Welcome drink of their own wine was a very nice touch. Free parking was good too.

Only thing would be that the coffee provided in the rooms wasn't particularly great (Nespresso machine, but not Nespresso pods).

    9RuthPosted on: 6-19-2024

Room was very clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and we ate at the restaurant - the food was really good and the desserts were amazing (congratulations to the assistant pastry chef again!)

Not a criticism, just a note: we have previously stayed in this hotel in a Comfort room, which is in the new part of the building, but for this stay we upgraded to the Superior Suite which is in the older part. Whilst it is a lovely room, I would say that the rooms in the newer part are quieter and they have (if on the ground floor) a little seating area outside, which was a really nice touch. Note it also only has a bath and no shower.

Everything about the hotel was amazing

the restaurant experience was poor, menu and food very good, but the staff was not very professional, seemed all like beginners, they tried but clearly didn’t come from the business. for the wine we ordered food pairing thought to get inspired by the sommelier but that didn’t work so well, is subjective of course but then he left for the day without even saying a word, for the dessert we were left with the very friendly but again rather clueless other waiters

Very nicely extended small chateau building. Good lunch, reasonably priced wine

Dinner was expensive and although the food was ok, it did not measure up to the image they were projecting

Very quiet and beautiful Chateau with extensive modernisation into a very comfortable hotel, very well appointed and extremely friendly staff

    10GinaPosted on: 10-12-2023

This hotel is gorgeous! The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The pool is lovely and such beautiful surroundings with a 360 view of vines. So quiet. The restaurant was also delicious! Couldn’t be happier with our choice!

A fantastic property not far from St Emilion. Beautifully restored, with stunning areas for relaxing. Most of all, Tiffany - who ensured our little dog Rolo, was welcomed just as well as we were, is a credit to the hospitality industry and provided the highest level of friendly service we have experienced throughout our tour of France. Pierre from the restaurant team was also a pleasure to meet, and makes a fantastic Irish Coffee :) Thank you to you both for making our experience exceptional!

    Having to leave!
