VAYA Zell am See

Just came back from our trip. We stayed in this hotel 6 nights (family with two kids and dog). I can tell that it really exceeded our expectations. This hotel has everything you need for skiing: ski locker (heated), you go out and ski lift is 50 meters from you. SPA area, I read that it is too small and etc, but it is regular size, pool was quite emplty, sauna, turkish sauna, jakuzzy was always aviable. Food: breakfast was wery good. You can get eggs, sousages, pancakes, fruits, juices and etc. Dinner was so good. Everyday you can pick from buffet or from meny and it is so delicious. Bars and other places in hotel where you can just sit , relax and enjoy. I can say that this is very good option if you want to have good time and quality. Staff is also very friendly. The only thing if you drive not 4x4 car might be a bit difficult to get up there when it is ice.

​We stayed at the hotel for two days, but our room was not cleaned during our stay.​In addition, we came specifically for the "summer pass," but we were told it couldn't be redeemed on the day of our arrival, only the next day. This caused a very inconvenient change to our plans and prevented us from using it as we had intended.Staff was very unpleasant

The location was fantastic just right to the cable cars, ready for hiking and discovering the mountain

Our family room that was not a four star level room: no AC, tiny bathroom without separate toilet, very old furniture, no view and right above the kitchen,, with a vibration sound that was constantly annoying.There are strict schedule with no other options for snack or room service.Checking in late at 9pm we were advised to go to town for dinner…

I booked a deluxe room as shown in picture. ‏The hotel give me superior room ‏I spoke with receptionist. She said the other room is occupied and there is no other room ‏They should give me exactly the same room I booked or upgrade.

Great location, comfortable, good staff.

The leisure facilities were really poor. Pool freezing, Sauna out of order all week, and the smallest steam room in the world!!!Also, one tiny lift for whole hotel is not enough.

The common areas of hotel are nice and comfortable.

Our room 117. Very dated. Small, unventilated bathroom with black mould in the ceiling and walls. Shower was tiny, could not bend over it was so tight in there.The sofa was badly stained. Old, outdated flat screen TV.

Hotel is beautiful and it has a great location, food quality is very high and staff is pleasant and welcoming.

Pool is average but sauna is good. Room size is ok for 2 people but we were a group of three and it gets a little small in space

Location on the nursery slope. Ski in and out. Ski rental in hotel building. The food was excellent. The restaurant staff were exceptional.

Old room, large but sparse and furniture grubby. This is NOT a traditional Austrian, family run hotel. The hotel reception staff were mediocre.The pool was cold and crowded. No gym.

Fantastic location and super friendly staff as well as modern and clean facilities.

Only thing we would’ve liked is a bit more staff. Nothing impacted the service but things like the bar etc. were closed in between.

There was no general cosy lounge area (apart from reception area) with a fireplace for apres-ski or when weather is bad- thought that charging for (tap) water at dinner was petty, bar hours restricted

Small, cold pool. Small sauna. No indoor playground for children.

Location is amazing perfect for our skiing holiday. The food is amazing one of the highlights of our day was to see what food we’d be served that evening could not fault it at all! The pool facilities were great and so convenient to have the locker rooms downstairs to be able to store our ski equipment.

We stayed in one of the rooms that is yet to be refurbished it was fine enough although the beds need updating not very comfortable and the pillows were so thin not very comfortable. We went to use the spare pillow in the wardrobe and it had hairs all over it

Not much …. The room was a good size … a few decades out of date … but so many issues

The room … had a silverfish infestations ! … no WiFi… in 2025 :)) … sometimes smelled of drains! The spa is way too small for the size of hotel .. 2 person steam room and 1 person house hold. Jacuzzi! The bar … was shut between about 18:30 and 20:30 and one day shut all night .. The staff at reception/ duty manager … not informative .. helpful. Apparently we have to expect silverfish at the top? Of the mountain.

Room with magnificient view to the slopes, very friendly staff, especially Bojan the waiter and croatian speaking lady at the reception desk.Excellent dinner. Ski room with locker per room.Vicinity to the ski lift and ski bus that takes you downtown.

The pool water was a bit too cold. Not enough electric outlets by the bed.

Location right next to lifts. Food was also good.

Shortage of staff. Wellness centre was too small.

You have to wait until you get seated i. The breakfast The waiter will seat you on the same place every time claiming that other places are reserved but you see that no one occupied them

Understaffed, bar closed, difficult to get service on the terrace (end aug).Bed needs an update
