Too expensive
We stopped here during a cycling holiday. Very nice staff, the location is great: central and with good views. We had a great stay.
All great
Excellent dinner on arrival; very welcoming receptionist.
Longer/more flexible opening hours for restaurant.
Property was very close the two different ski lifts, so access to the slopes was easy. It was also right next to the tourism office and a ski rental shop, so getting set up was a breeze.
No real negative comments, except that maybe the bathroom was a little small.
PopAlp was the perfect hotel for us. It is comfortable if not luxurious, and the staff are fantastic, super friendly and helpful. The location for access to the ski areas is perfect - right next to the Télécentre lift which takes you tot the bottom of Pic Blanc and only a minute's' walk from the Alpe Express which takes you to the Bergers central lift & shopping area. Breakfast is very good, they have a good menu in the breakfast/restaurant area, a crêpe station and numerous good restaurants and bars within a short walk. Highly recommended!
I loved the location, the decor inside was so fun. Also the staff were really lovely!
Just how it could be noisy but I think that’s to be expected on a ski holiday ?
Staff were incredible. Very helpful and great service. Beds were very comfortable
Breakfast wasn’t enough choice. Towels in room were too small. Bedding wasn’t changed enough. Room service would be good to be offered. Hôtel ran out of hot water one evening. Wasn’t really ski in ski out. Very noisy in the evenings with drunk people singing in the streets. I stayed in the suite and there wasn’t even a proper shower, you had to hold the shower over the bath, this is unacceptable for a suite which is supposed to be the best room in the hotel
Location was great, ski down & close to boot room. Close to local restaurants
The Radiator in my room did not work, the thermostatic control valve head was missing & the valve was struck closed.I reported this twice to reception, but the issue was not resolved.
Great balcony with mountain view, champagne on arrival, great breakfast buffet and finally just lovely staff that treats you with love.
The beds were not soft enough, but its personal opinion mostly.
The staff were lovely very helpful and friendly. The location was very good, right next to a bus stop to get to Grenoble. Ski lift, ski hire and tourist information right next to the hotel. Decor was quirky, ski boot room was very well set up. Everything was walking distance.
Nothing, everything was very good. Breakfast could have been slightly better however thats me being picky if i had to find something.
Well located accommodation, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good and we were lucky to get a free room upgrade….would definitely recommend to others…
Great location but most importantly amazing staff
I had the suite. curtains on the windows of the small bedroom are seriously needed
Quirky, modern and clean. very different to typical ski accommodation.
Location and decor
Great location. Friendly efficient staff. Great food and really comfortable bed. Wonderful art work.
All good
Great rooms style and staff
My bath was a little dirty
Great location. Friendly and very helpful staff. Lovely views from our room.
Nothing to not like.
Perfect view, friendly staff, well stocked breakfast buffet
Lovely well situated hotel with brilliant access to the ski area and restaurants. Very friendly and attentive staff
Good self service breakfast, which is essential when skiing - you need the carbs. Superior room was newly decorated, clean and spacious. Staff were friendly even if not always on the ball. The hotel is well located being 50m from one of the lifts and 100m from another.
The lounge restaurant was nice enough, but had just one small sofa for actually lounging on, otherwise you had to sit at a dining table. So not much of an atmosphere in the evenings. The ‘superior’ room I stayed in, Room 011, was overlooked on both sides and had no net curtain to give privacy during the day when the black out curtains were open. The room safe really didn’t like opening and took half a dozen goes to open - something obviously wrong with it. The (new) bathroom plumbing was eccentric and difficult to control, and worst of all there wasn’t a shower in the bath other than a tiny hand held shower for rinsing your hair. Odd given that the room and bathroom were obviously newly refurbished. The ‘standard’ room, Room 207, that my son stayed in was on the attic floor, and was very small with what could only be described as a WC in a cupboard. However it did have a proper shower which just about made it acceptable. No bottled drinking water was provided in the rooms, however there are nearby shops that sell water and empty bottles can be re-filled at the hotel bar.Evening meals were not great, hit and miss at best, and not surprisingly almost all the guests ate out. There are several good, and even very good, restaurants nearby, so this was not too much of an issue.Generally very expensive for what you get.
Great hotel, welcoming helpful staff, wonderful breakfast, excellent convenient location, smart comfortable room, well appointed. Easy for skiing.
