Pros +
- Very polite, young helpful staff, aquamotion access, breakfast, ski shop staff, ski-in-out convenience, room’s space
- Review (Restaurant – Le Grill only)The hotel itself is fine; this review is strictly about the restaurant, Le Grill, which was a complete disappointment.Despite at least half of the restaurant being visibly empty, we were made to wait over 30 minutes for a table simply because we didn’t have a reservation. No explanation, no courtesy, no attempt to accommodate—just rigid, senseless gatekeeping while empty tables sat unused.Once seated, the experience only got worse. The waiter didn’t come to our table at all until we actively insisted on being attended to. From that point on, service felt reluctant and careless. We repeatedly had to ask for basic items—including a simple basket of bread that every other table already had—making us feel like an inconvenience rather than paying guests.Overall, the front-of-house operation at Le Grill is poorly managed, inattentive, and oddly dismissive, completely out of sync with what one would expect from a restaurant attached to an otherwise acceptable hotel. A frustrating, unnecessary exercise in bad hospitality.
- not worth the money
Cons -
- My suggestion: Change or abolish the restaurant reservation system.
- Pillows are not comfortable at all, Breakfast is very poor - very similar to canteen and choice of food is very limited
- Aquamotion is packed with people and it's dangerous for the kids as the lifeguards are not doing their jobs properly. The water temperature is a bit too low so it's cold. The hallways and changing rooms are cold. Bring a robe for sure. The kids are all going down the slidea at once without regulation on the slides endangering yours. The pools are packed unacceptably so. Everyone came to ski and that is a failure for this hotel. In brief courshevel is divided into villages. This hotel is 15 to 20 minute walk above 1550 and 15 to 25 minutes walk below 1650. The restaurants are in the villages. You'll need to be at ideally 1850 in Dec Jan which is the top of the mountain to ski since they have the best snow. This is a 15 minute drive and not walkable. The lift near the hotel to get you up the mountain to the slope won't have enough snow, which happens this time of year so you have to drive up or bus up. It's not helpful . Bussing is a horrible experience as it will be packed and you'll like stand or have to wait and wait. If you drive, you best be up there early or you wont get a spot in the garage. We drove every day at 830am to get the spot. The hotel doesn't have a shuttle service. A van is 50 Euro each way. The restaurant for New Years was horrific and I can't even tell you how bad it was .... Not just me but every family we spoke to said the same and I mean a lot of families . The reviews say that same about the year before...and management response is that a Michelin chef makes it all happen. I call that a serious lie. The level of food was worse than anything imaginary quality. The soup was absolutely inedible as was the chicken for the kids that seemed like it was cooked 5 hours before, dry as a bone and tasteless. It's impossible to mess up soup. Just follow a recipe and keep it warm....We couldn't eat the food at all and frankly I can eat anything.

Ecrin Blanc is physically attached to Aquamotion. If you're planning on swimming or having children there this could be a good option. That said you can go to Aquamotion by booking time slots

1. The valet parking staff and place2. Food is so good3. They upgraded my room with me asking although it was Christmas day 4. The concierge employees are the best
1. Dogs are allowed in the hotel and some are so noisy and annoying. 2. Location3. Water park rules not allow wearing long swimming suits ( for muslims)
Facilities and staff
Breakfast is very normal . Before parking was free and this year they are charging .
The valet service team was outstanding. The same staff handled parking and luggage assistance, and they were consistently professional, efficient, and genuinely helpful throughout the stay.
Everything else. The reception staff were disorganized and poorly informed, even about how their own valet service operates. Basic communication was a problem, and the same requests had to be repeated multiple times to get anything done. The hotel had no proper heating. Our room was cold upon arrival, and instead of functioning central heating, we were given small portable radiators. The ski room was also unheated, which meant ski boots could not dry or warm up at all — completely unacceptable for a ski hotel. The hotel does not have a private wellness area. Instead, it cooperates with an external wellness center that is open to the entire town, resulting in no privacy at all. This crucial detail is not clearly stated in the Booking description and feels misleading.Additionally, the ski-to-door service was not operational, and we were never informed in advance. This was the main reason I chose this hotel, and its absence significantly affected our stay.Despite informing the hotel in advance that we would arrive early after a long journey of around 13 hours, they were unwilling to prepare the room earlier, claiming the hotel was fully booked — even though it was clearly half empty. There were multiple instances of contradictory and misleading information.Overall, this felt like false marketing and poor management. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and I would not return or recommend it.
Really liked the property. Cozy. My 8 year old daughter loved the aqua park.
The manager is not the most friendly.
Very nice hotel, connected to Aquapark, amazing breakfast, and gouter
Nothing!
Staff, location, facilities, room, access to ski slopes
We booked a very large suite and it was so comfortable. It is huge, with 3 separate bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 toilets. There is a small kitchen area and a large living room area. We had breakfast and gouter in our booking. Gouter was everyday from 3pm and was a buffet of lots of yummy things like cake, croissants and macarons. That was really enjoyable.
As we went at the very end of the season, some things were unavailable on the menu (we heard "c'est la fin de la saison" on a daily basis!) It was fine but became quite funny after a while! We stayed for 2 nights and had 2 days access to the Aquamotion, it would have been good to get 3 days included.
From our checkin to checkout our experience was extremely positive. Morin checked us in and gave our entire family an upgrade, she was really nice and welcoming. Alex at the kids club was amazing with the twins. The concierge Leonie was very helpful and all her recommendations were good. The staff at the ski shop were excellent and got us equipped for skiing with little effort from our side. The aqua-motion was great and has an adults only area as well. We will definitely be back next year. Oh and I blame the pastry chef for the 2 extra kilos I returned home with! Delicious
Well used to staying at four and five star ski hotels and Ecrin Blanc was excellent. The staff were superb and the facilities for all but especially children were fantastic- we will be back (the valet staff in particular were excellent)
I ‘ve probably had 2000 nights at different hotels throughout the world. Ecrin Blanc left a very very strong and positive impression and I listed it in my TOP 10 hotels. Staff, cleanliness, location, breakfast, hospitality… all top class! Well done to the management and all staff I interacted with. Well done. Looking forward to visiting you again, next time with my whole family!
The staff service cleanliness aquamotion. Special mention hugo at the restaurant. I felt ill on the 12th march night and called the reception. The front desk guy was so concerned that he brought me milk and fruits in less than 5 minutes. I don’t remember his name but I really want to thank him and appreciate his concern and gesture.
Great hotel with a very nice view, next to the slopes but quite expansive for the services rendered! Friendly staff!
We also had a bad smell in our bathroom and the Aquapark was not accessible to my 16 years old son (and this was not mentioned). Also not possible to take a shower at the end of the day after the checkout. Never experienced this in a hotel of this class.
I guess the Aquapark is good for kids, but we never went there.Ski rental in the building and next to ski lift.
Dirty used bed sheets.Took over one hour to get the luggage to the room.Got charged 5EUR for two empty wine glasses.Overall low service level.Asked twice in the reception to speak to a manager to sort out the above, but no one came back. Still waiting...
Link to lifts and aqua park
Poor menu for dinner, overpriced (as many things in Courchevel)
The hotel is a wonderful place to stay with or without family. Very spacious rooms and the interior are well done. Cosy and chic. The afternoon tea is a must! Staying at the hotel you have access to the aqua motion which is amazing in itself.
Even though it is ski to ski, the slop to get to the cable car is a blue or red.
very spacious rooms , good price for that quaility . service of reception was perfect , consierges and a waiters
the manager of restaurant not very client oriented , we asked to change the table to other one and they said no , but the restaurant was empty and we just needed 30 min for eat fast . problem only with restaurant. actually it’s happening to us second year that we don’t like service of manager of restaurant.
