- Location is great for kids and beginners, hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, breakfast was nice. Aside from the dinner and lunch menu the hotel was great. The facilities are a little run down and old , hotel could use a little bit of an uplift.

- The sauna needs a jakuzi

Hotel facilities, staff and location were great. Very convenient access to slopes allowing us to ski straight from ski locker room under hotel to Bruyeres 1 ski lift which connected us to Meribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens areas which was great. Breakfast was very good and always stocked - staff were so helpful. Would just note that it is quite quiet around the hotel in the evenings with a handful of restaurants in walking distance but no town so definitely more convenient for families however if you’re younger and looking for a buzzy town in the evenings to walk around, Meribel or Val Thorens may be more appropriate!
Ski in, ski out. Great breakfast - lots of choice.Excellent ski hire shop attached.
No hot tub! Very expensive. Limited number of restaurants nearby.
Room was a good size with a nice view. Breakfast was extremely high quality. Nice bar to relax after skiing. Dinner nice. Ski shop within the hotel convenient. All staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Excellent service, excellent value for money and really good breakfast. The rooms were big and warm, and the sauna + pool was really nice as well.
The sauna needs a jakuzi
Have stayed in a few places in les meniures. This is the best place. Great reception staff, lovely bar area, spa, and loved the ski room with individualised locker. The room was amazing, plenty of space, a safe and great products!
Only minor thing is that it is a 20-30 minute uphill walk from the main village area to the hotel. There is a complimentary bus that goes up and down which makes eating out a bit of a challenge. Luckily the Hôtel restaurant is very good with a wide selection of wines!
We had a fantastic stay at Chalet Hotel Kaya in January 2025. We were a group of 11 spread across four rooms, all of good standard and comfortable. Plenty of choice at breakfast and enjoyed our evening meal. Standout at the hotel was the staff team, which was friendly and helpful. Great location with easy access to the slopes. Bit apart from the main village of Les Menuires but fairly easy to access by regular bus service. Some nice touches made the stay even more special - afternoon tea, the sweet trolley, the games room. Very helpful to have the ski hire on site.
The hotel is right at the top of the resort - fantastic for skiing but less convenient if you want to get out and about. Access to shops was particularly limited (ski hire and a Sherpa but not much else). Enough places to eat within reach though.
Spacious room, has coffee machine.Friendly and helpful staff, private parking (at a cost).
Skiing in and out will be tough for beginners as the only slope that leads to/from the hotel is a difficult one.
Expensive Room did not at all correspond with the reservation and description we received. Smelly without a view !Hotel did not feel responsible for that and blamed the booking company.Be aware of this when booking a room.
The breakfast was phenomenal with plenty of choices and great coffee, but get there early before items runout.
The other tourists were territorial about seating. I am kind so I let them have it, but be weary. Also again, if you get there earlier it is not a problem.
We loved it. We'll be back.,
The restaurant in the evening is horribly over priced and if they considered catering for a more simple evening meal that would suit all the families staying (particularly in half term and holidays). Also the lighting in the room is bad. More table lights, fewer blinding spots overhead. Breakfast was good but more staff needed - self service is fine but it needs more staff to make it run smoothly.
great location!! wonderful staff and good quality.
entrance to front main door broken and probably needs a bit of TLC in some of the common parts but overall great quality and delicious breakfast.
Great restaurant; perfect location; great family room, clean and friendly.
Nothing comes to mind!
The suite and balcony were fantastic. Lots of space for our family of 4. Good location right next to the bus stop and piste. The bar area was really lovely. There was no fridge in the room as they had taken them out but they put one in for us when we asked. Breakfast was really great.
Drinks and food were very expensive. Path to piste from boot room was a bit treacherous as it was the end of the season. Bed sheets were a bit scratchy.
Excellent position. Highest point in Les menuires. Easy to ski down to sunny and miss any queues (not that there were any really at Easter at all). Family room with two bedrooms (feels more like a small apartment) has great views and a lovely little snug bedroom with bunk beds for kids. Swimming pool is fantastic. Food is excellent. Lovely meals (if you fancy something different/cheap then pizza Lili is a good option). We didn't go half board but it would be a good option. Breakfast is delicious.Staff are all really nice and helpful. Ski hire is next door/connected to hotelProsneige ski school was great (and Jacks cafe next to it is good/good value/good coffee)
A mistake on drinks bills the signing for process should be done by your room card for ease.
Kaya is a lovely place to spend a few days. The facilities are great and the rooms are very comfortable with nice touches. Very comfortable beds, quality toiletries, coffee machines and welcoming decor. Plenty of choice at breakfast, and the reception team are obliging, professional but warm and friendly. Skiing straight from and back to the hotel
The restaurant is good and the quality of the food is high, but the choice is limited and it's a little costly. Estimate £50-£60 per person per night for dinner. Given the hotel's location, it's a little challenging to get to the village for dinner - there are navettes but they can be a little infrequent. If you want something simple after a day's skiing then you'll be out of luck. The restaurant serves high quality savoyard-type food but three nights of this was enough and a trip to Reberty for a burger was needed. If you go to Les Menuires anywhere near British or French holiday periods and plan to eat out - make your reservations before your trip. Getting a table anywhere for dinner is a nightmare.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The ski locker facilities were excellent with boot warmers. The afternoon snacks served at 4pm are delicious and very welcomed after a day of skiing. The breakfasts are excellent with lots of choice.
It has a fabulous location for skiing but it does make it quite remote. This means there are limited dining options in the area and you need to plan around late night buses which are only every 40 minutes in the evening.
The rooms are super calm, coupled with the comfort of the bed and sheets, you get some quality sleep here! The bathroom looked freshly renovated, and the bathrobe was really soft and cozy. The breakfast offer is endless, you get cheese from the region, great charcuterie, viennoiseries, and the chef is dedicated to preparing any kind of eggs. I think you can even ask for crêpes. A huge plus is that you are able to freshly squeeze your own orange juice. The staff is really friendly yet professional, always available if anything is needed. I can definitely say that they played a huge role in the quality of the hotel and stay.
If anything, when it comes to bathroom amenities, I would have appreciated there being 2 different bottles for shampoo & shower gel instead of one for both.
