Hôtel Le Refuge

Centrally located hotel only stayed for 1 night, very small single room.

Great location, fantastic breakfast and the staff were very helpful.

Great location, liked the pool table and bar.

Boot room could have been a little bit bigger.

Stayed at Le Refuge early March 2025. Rooms were ideal for us (group of 5 friends in a twin and a triple), not huge but enough space for what we needed. Hotel location is fantastic for kicking off and ending the day on the slopes. Storage for snowboards very convenient which helps at the end of a long day. Even better were the spa facilities which we used most days to rejuvenate our battered limbs! Lovely breakfast spread which we had to pay for as wasn't included in the Booking.com price, but well worth it. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great location for ski slope access and car parking.

Very very tired interiors. Bathroom was bizarrely plumbed and could barely use toilet/ close door. Reception staff were lively and friendly, breakfast staff not so much!

The location was the best part. You could access all lifts very conveniently. The breakfast was in the top floor with great views. The sauna and steam room were great.

The rooms were a bit outdated and not enough storage for a ski trip. The breakfast was ok but not a lot of warm options. The hot tub should be renamed warm tub. But this seems to be the case for the area. Staff seemed to be in a bad mood in the mornings and apathetic at other times.

It is in the perfect location and has a cosy feel.

The room was very cramped with two random chairs and no full length mirror. It was surprisingly too hot. Had to sleep with the window open (even though it was -10 outside)

Breakfast was very good , location was perfect for the slopes .

Bedrooms are due a refurb

Great location opposite the main lifts but you do have to walk over the road, so not really ski in/ out if you have kids with you. The chap on reception was helpful in booking restaurants for the evenings. The chamber maids were cheery.

Mainly the hotel is so noisy - you could hear people in other rooms snoring etc which really affected sleep quality. There was no restaurant as such, just a buffet breakfast available that you had to pre book the night before. There was no real bar. The spa consists of 2 hot tubs underground, a sauna and a steam room but you had to request that they be opened half an hour before you needed them. There is a vending machine which is the only way to get water, and it was Euro 3.50 per small bottle. It was early in the season which may be an excuse but it will always be noisy. The staff at breakfast were really glum - no smile of welcome. As I passed reception there was never a 'hello' or greeting from the staff, they were head down in admin and took their time to respond when I tried to attract their attention.

Location location location - fantastic central location with easy access to all the ski lifts in Tignes Le Lac - effectively ski in ski out. Charming chalet hotel with history and nicely finished throughout; complementary ski lockers and hot tub / steam room / sauna a bonus

Rooms nicely finished but pillows were a weird square shape and uncomfortable. Could not control heat in room (either too warm with windows closed / too cold with windows open) A bigger cooked breakfast option for UK guests (ie - sausages / beans / cooked tomatoes / mushrooms / poached or fried eggs) ENGLISH Tea!

The hotel is incredibly well located for accessing the mountain and the breakfast was amazing.

The hotel could have been cleaner, I woke every night suffering from dust allergies and the spa is in need of a refurbishment/deep clean.

The hotel has a nice traditional feel, good facilities and activities available in the hotel. The location is probably the best of any hotel in town right next to lifts and rental shops. The hotel is essentially ski in/ ski out. Staff were helpful and friendly and easy to communicate with before and during the stay.

Hotel Refuge is a perfect location in Tignes La Lac. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable room and bed. Will definitely return.

Very good location.

Upon entering the room a very bad smell (like sewer) was coming from the bathroom. I told staff who advised me the hotel was full and maintenance will look at it. For a few days there was still a smell however just bearable. Once again it returned and I advised staff again. I told them the smell was sickening however no effort was made or concern given to do something about the situation.
