- It was a wonderful stay at the Hotel Le SamoyedeThe location was really great, 5 minutes from both ski lifts and 1min from the main street and the shops. The hotel is very clean and cozy with delicious dinner and varied breakfast. The atmosphere is relaxing at every step, starting from the entrance. The hotel staff are very nice, helpful and friendly, at the first request rushing to help and doing everything very quickly. The room was cleaned every day at a convenient time for me. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the bed linen is very beautiful!Everything was excellent! I will definitely come back!
- Beautiful, tasteful and comfortable rooms, right in the middle of town with a view over the square. Great breakfast and super friendly staff. Lovely to have dedicated parking for the hotel!
- All the people at the front desk were exceptionally helpful to us. Our baggage was lost at the airport but they gladly made phone calls for us as we do not speak French. They even drove to a tech store 5 km away to purchase a SIM card for our phone. We are truly grateful for such outstanding service. Also, the hotel is beautiful with authentic wood interiors and decorating. Excellent breakfast!
Cons -
- I had the smallest room and IT IS REALLY SMALL approximately 2x5m including bathroom, so check carefully your reservation. The breakfast is very basic, everything is tasty but it might be not the buffet you're used to.
- I have nothing to add as, from my perspective and requirements, the hotel provided everything I needed.
- The hotel receptionist was rude and sarcastic. I had to brace myself every time I interacted with her. The room was very noisy from early in the morning when the cleaning staff would start until late at night while music from the bar played. The hotel advertises as doing room service but it didn't. It also advertises spa facilities, but this was only available a few hours a day and was subject to it not being full. All in all, this was not a comfortable or welcoming place to stay. I spent a lot of money on the holiday and this hotel did not meet my needs. Would not recommend.

The most central location possible, staff is super helpful and friendly, clean, air conditioning. I mostly liked staying there even though the negative part might be bigger than positive. Delicious omelette for breakfast

We had a great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were delicious
Friendly staff, good location, fabulous food
Fantastic stay. Very central location, delicious food, excellent staff, lovely rooms.
The hotel is very central in Morzine. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I was able to obtain a single occupancy room, something that is unusual in a ski resort. For those who are interested, there are bookable spa facilities on the lower ground floor and an on-sight bar, named the 19.38, after the year the hotel was first opened. Whilst the breakfast menu was very good, with daily 'specials', the four course evening dinner was excellent and of gourmet standard. In short, Hotel Le Samoyede is a great place to stay.
I have nothing to add as, from my perspective and requirements, the hotel provided everything I needed.
The breakfast staff were polite and the food was a great variety.

This hotel is exceptional. From the food to the amazing staff. The stay exceeded all our expectations. The location is perfect for the slopes and shops. We are definitely returning to this hotel next trip.
Breakfast was ok, but dinner was exceptional.Location great.Staff charming, helpful and friendly.
Spa a little disappointing Breakfast was only ok
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had an amazing time. The staff are lovely, everyone of them went out of their way to speak to you every dayThe food is unbelievable, different level, it’s a set menu every day but if you didn’t like something, they would accommodate….the best way to describe it was fine diningLocation, centre of the town with a 5 minute walk to two ski liftsThe spa was a lovely touch and just what you needed after a day on the slopes! We can’t thank the team enough and we will definitely be back
Friendly and welcoming staff, reflective of a third generation family run hotel that has been in existence for almost 90 years. Very willing to speak English. Absolutely fabulous 5 course haute cuisine dinners, the best I have encountered in a hotel anywhere in the world. Wine by the glass was without fault. Diverse breakfast catering for all tastes. Comfortable communal lounge with open fireplace. Central location, opposite tourist information office and within easy walking distance of both ski lifts. Included was access to the spa with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, great for relaxing after skiing.
Sizes of room, the smallest single room I have ever encountered, 9 sq metres. Suitable for a child, but not an adult. Cramped. I am partial to my morning filter coffee. Coffee from a multi functional dispensing machine does not do it for me. Sorry
The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for me. I really enjoyed my stay the hotel which is perfectly situated in the middle of town with easy access to both the Pleney and Super Morzine lifts. Breakfast is nice with hot options each morning. I didn't dine in each out night as had friends in town though was advised later in the week that I could have invited them to dinner. Will do this the next time as the guests mentioned that dinner was excellent.
I stayed in the single room which was small (as expected) but ok for what I wanted to use it for. Only issue was that the window looked out into a space between the adjoining building and cigarette smoke wafted up into my room from time to time.
Completely beautiful! I was not expecting such a wonderful stay. Every detail was looked after including having your own locker for equipment and hot air dryers for your boots. The food was spectacular and staff were completely lovely. THANK YOU for a wonderful stay.
All good from my POV!
We had a truly excellent stay at Hotel Le Samoyede. The service was exceptional. We arrived several hours early prior to check in and the reception staff readily welcomed us to our room early. All the staff were friendly, approachable and truly wanted to see you enjoyed your stay. I injured myself skiing on my last day at the hotel and the reception staff went above and beyond to help book private transfers back to the airport and serve meals in the room while I had limited mobility. The meals at the hotel were excellent, especially the dinners. We weren’t expecting Michelin grade food but we had it each and every night with full board. Dinner was 6 courses every night and without fail excellent food and service. Breakfast has a good selection including custom made specials each morning. The room was large, warm, modern and comfortable with plenty of storage space for longer stays. There was a ski locker with individual lockers for safe and conventions storage of skis. The hotel was very conveniently located to access both the ski slopes to Avoriaz and Les Gets, a short walk to Super Morzine and Plenery lifts and a 10 minute free bus ride to Prodaines. We will be recommending Hotel Le Samoyede to our friends and will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for an excellent stay.
I cannot fault this hotel
The kitchen…hotel’s restaurant above expectations! Delicious food and perfect staff! Also as an all staff in this hotel!Spa facilities are amazing!By the way, rooms are completely comfortable, location also very nice- close to the cable cabin station and shopping area. Two steps to bus stop to Avoriaz.
Difficult to say ?
Excellent location- near the ski lifts and restaurants . Very helpful staff and very clean comfortable accommodation. The breakfast was lovely.
Nothing - all great
the breakfast, spa, receptionists were great and all of the other staff.
I broke my fingers slipping on the decking when walking my skis back. No one was attentive, and nothing was offered when I mentioned it. I have strapped them up, and I hope to mend soon.
Nice rooms, amazing service, great breakfast.
