About

Chilly Powder’s Au Coin du Feu chalet offers comfortable accommodations in Morzine, at the foot of ski slopes in the Portes du Soleil area. It has an outdoor hot tub and free Wi-Fi. Each Coin du Feu room is decorated with an individual theme and has a private private bathroom. Some of the bathrooms have a rainforest shower. For dinner, Chilly Powder serves 3 or 4-course meals, made from fresh local ingredients. Guests can select meat or vegetarian dishes and the chalet is able to accommodate special diets. After a day of skiing, guests are invited to enjoy afternoon tea or a drink next to Au Coin du Feu’s 4-sided fireplace. The chalet has childcare facilities, a sauna, a bar and a games room with a Wii. The chalet’s location means that guests can finish one of the pistes and ski straight into the chalet’s garden.

    Pros +

    • Exceptional hospitality from every staff member we interacted with, who went the extra mile to make sure we had what we needed and were content. Our twin room was cozy, spotless, and full of charm, as was the rest of the chalet. Jacuzzi and relaxation area are free of charge, including bathrobes and footwear. The continental breakfast was one of the best we've had, and they offer the possibility of dining to a set and carefully crafted menu. We absolutely plan on staying here again.
    • Breakfast, dinner, drinks, excellent. Very warm and kind people, always eager to help with a smile
    • Excellent staff, welcoming, comfortable, good breakfast

    Cons -

    • Only that they're closing for the interseason between September and early December. Would have been great to use this as a base for fall hiking.

    • All was great, one minor thing to improve was the curtains in our room were a little thin which let light from the balcony lights into the room so it wasn’t completely dark at nighttime. We didn’t mention it and I’m sure if we had, the staff would have immediately done something about it - they really go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a good stay.

Very friendly staff who really worked hard to make our stay as perfect as possible. A really warm and friendly atmosphere, it felt like staying in an excellent catered chalet. Every evening they offer a 4 course meal with canapés to start and the guests can get to know each other and chat about what they’ve done that day - like a fantastic shared catered chalet. There is also complementary afternoon tea with snacks and an excellent breakfast. We’ll definitely book again.

Comfortable chalet, not located in the hotel but not far down the road.

    Communication about parking when arriving.

Great staff. Good location. Bar is cool. Food is good.

We took an apartment called Les Prodains which is part of the hotel. It’s very basic. Furniture is worse than you’d find in a student let. Can’t control temperature of the apartment and we had to have all the windows open (snowing outside) to be cool enough to sleep. Can’t fault the staff or food. Both great. But the accommodation was not good and especially poor value for money.

Staff were attentive and helpful. Facilities okay but not there long enough to use.

Very overpriced and poor location - advertised on booking.com as in morzine actually 3 miles out. Very near one ski lift but no nightlight and limited local amenities. Room small and tight - although clean and basic level of comfort. Stayed in a hotel in town following night for 1/6th price and double size room.

The time I spent with my family at the hotel I stayed in was wonderful. All employees were friendly and helpful. Our room was small but comfortable enough. Will I go again? Certainly. ?

Great location for the Prodain lift. Wonderful Staff and the food was excellent

    9IvanPosted on: 1-17-2024

Extremely friendly and helpfull staff - smiley, ready to help, treating each family individually. Fast response on my last minute transportation request, helped with rentals, provided all the guidance needed - very impressive. Tea and coffee available throughout the day, nice hottub and overall very cozy atmosphere

Public transportation option was not stated explicitly, so the venue offers to arrange a transfer, which is quite costly. THe reality is that there is a bus company called Swiss Tours that makes 4 trips per day from/to Geneva Airport - use it.

Staff and location, great massages and a relaxed and cool environment - will return as enjoyed our stay a lot.

Don’t change, love it as it is!

    9MelaniePosted on: 8-29-2023

    Great breakfast, friendly staff

Location was pretty far out of the main village of Morzine, so you need a car

    8MarkPosted on: 3-22-2023

    The communal friendly set-up.

I think the food could be improved. Didn't have a shower if you were leaving late.

    8DonnaPosted on: 12-26-2022

Great staff and set-up is really impressive if you have young kids.

I found the beds too hard and didn’t sleep that well.

    9GinaPosted on: 5-4-2022

The staff were so accommodating, friendly and eager to help

The rooms were a bit cramped

great breakfast, lovely staff. superb location. nice hot tub.

If you are booking to stay here and want your evening meals provided then I suggest you book them in advance. we were told that it was not possible to eat in the main chalet for our entire trip.
