- It was too loud, we could heard a group of dogs barking every night. And it was really easy to hear neighbors watching football and talking at night.
- Slightly thin walls, but if you are tired enough, sleeping in the comfortably huge bed is nice!

good location, breakfast was ok, but it lasts only till to 10:30
the room on basement floor is not so comfortable, also there is no iron or a bottle of water
The house itself is beautiful, and I'm sure there are beautiful rooms (if you're lucky enough to get one). The breakfast room is impressive, the breakfast wasn't bad either.
Well, I went for the pictures of beautiful rooms. What I got was a hole in the basement. It was clean, but dark, without a view, and spartan. Cool if you're a goth metal freak.
authentic place, tried to convey the spirit of Armenia
The website says there is air conditioning in the room. To my request to turn on the air conditioner (it was +28 outside), I was first told that it was not there, then that it was common to the entire villa and would not be turned on. water in the shower is either hot or cold. the shower itself keeps falling off and not attaching to the counter. There is no one to help with the suitcases, the villa has 3 floors, be prepared.
I stayed in the hotel several times before, I like the style of the hotel and the family atmosphere very much. This time, I booked (as always) a double room for one person (and this was confirmed by the hotel). However, they gave me an extremely small one-bed room, and the mattress of the bed does not deserve the name "matress" (you felt the iron parts all night). After the first night, they changed my room and the stay was OK then.
The hospitality on the villa was great. Mina administrator was very kind and helpful. The villa is unique, the photos on booking match the reality. We were staying in the lovely room with fireplace. Will definately visit Armenia and Villa Ayghedzor again. Totally recommend.
there was no hairdryer on a villa
Cosy lovely hotel with retro furniture and spirit of country house
breakfasts could be more various
It's so amazing place. Really villa. Like ancient one.I felt like it was an old-time movie. 2-floor room. Simple but gorgeous. Big kitchen with a comfy round table. 3 beds - 2 on the 1st floor and other one - on the second under the roof. Amazing. Finished with all natural materials - mostly wood - it creates a comfy feeling.intelligent and kind people gathered around big breakfast table and discuss their experience, travel and life stories with the smiles on their faces.
well, nice big house with several rooms and big common areas… nice atmosphere and people working in.., I recommend !!!
all was excellent
Nothing, other than antique collection
Basement room allocated for 3 adult's..., water seepage from walls... No complementary refreshments, no tea/coffee facilities, no drinking water given, no Television, no plug points near bed, mattress has only springs ?, crimped shower enclosure 2' x 2' only with damaged shutters, taking shower is terrible, colored concrete sofa (bench) has no purpose and no access to sit, no exhaust in toilet, stinky smell inside room all the time, I don't know the basis of 4* rating given to this hotel...
Very beautiful hotel and room. Unique charming atmosphere of an old house. Tasty breakfast and good location in the city.
Just a one thing disappointed us strongly. When we arrived after the evening walk, there wasn’t water at all.. so we couldn’t take a shower after the flight and a whole day in a hot city (+38!!).We asked staff, he said that he will ask what happened and return to us, asked the name of our room. Instead of it he just disappeared. We went to ask three times at night but nobody was there..Hope that it’s a unique and not typical case for such a beautiful and cozy place as Villa Ayghedzor.
a lot of vintage furniture, looks cool if you like historical flair, location is not very far from the centre. Bathroom had been recently renovated.
Very old and smelly AC did not work properly in my room on the ground floor. I asked to get it fixed but this didn’t happen so I couldn’t sleep at night. Very poor Wi-Fi compared to other hotels in Yerevan. Connection keeps breaking. Road construction in front of hotel is quite noisy. No early breakfast or lunchbox option. I had to leave early all 3 days of my stay, but was not offered any other option. Issue with paying by card. Had to pay cash.
I liked the style of rooms, cozy atmosphere, cleanliness and very sweet cleaning and cooking ladies
First big minus is a weak A/C that is also so noisy that you can only sleep with the earplugs and a pillow on your head. The hotel staff doesn't understand what service means and has no idea how to host people. Absolutely ignorant and unprofessional people. I arrived at 1pm for my check-in, the administrator named Lilit said the room was free and ready, but I need to go walk somewhere for an hour as the check-in time is at 2pm... In 20 years of traveling I've never encountered such a frustrating attitude. I would understand that the room was busy or being cleaned, but it was completely free and ready, but she wouldn't let me check-in because of the formalities.. I offered to pay for that 1 hour early check-in and she called a manager to get approval and I think the manager realised how silly it was and let me in... Next bad experience was the breakfast. The breakfast timings are very late - from 8.30-10am. Many people come and go for tours and need to leave at 6-7am. I asked to prepare for me at least something small for the morning as I was leaving early, like a cup of coffee and a yogurt and I was refused... Overall you feel like its the guests that need to adjust for convenience of the hotel staff and not vice versa. Last drop was a phone conversation with Lilit. I wanted to extend my stay for a night because of the tour I was taking. I tried to call the hotel and couldn't get through. I phoned Lilit directly and she shouted at me!! Literally she was angry about me calling her. She shouldn't work with people, she clearly hates them.
It is a splendid villa with great staff, beautiful interior, big, clean rooms, convenient bathroom and a nice view! It was so good we didn't want to leave!
I would like to have a kettle in the room to make tea right there but the rest is great!
good staff though English limited.Room was nice and tidy and air conditioning worked well.great breakfast.
photography slightly flattered the property - quite tired in places.the tour they booked for me was with a non English speaking driver in spite of me specifically asking for that.
I felt welcome and staff was great. Location is great for this price and rooms are comfortable. This is not ordinary hotel. Someone took time to make this place look stylish.
The weather was bad and it was cold inside. I have to move to another room. Bathroom could be better.
Some nice decor, as per all Villa hotels. Good facility/construction. Reasonably quiet.
No COVID precautions whatsoever. Packing disparate groups of tourists at one communal table every morning, food served only at that central point, great for viral transmission.Usually sparse, disappointing offerings for breakfast (more fruit/vegetables would be appreciated).
One of the most beautiful and authentic chic hotels in Yerevan. It's not that your usual bullshit franchise network which is always the same and soulless in any given city. On the contrary here at Villa Ayghedzor every room has it's own unique and vintage furniture and has its own charm. You really feel yourself like living in 18-19th century villa. The staff is great and very pplite and attentive to all of your needs so we decided to stay in this hotel couple more days and when we got back to Yerevan after traveling around Armenia. Both times our room were humongous by size and amazing and very stylish: vintage furniture, light walls, nice hand made ceramic artistic lamps etc. Breakfast was amazing, served in the huge ballroom in the center of the villa. Also it worth to mention nice exhibition of handmade dinnerware which is basically art (and you can even buy whatever yoir like and prices are mostly reasonable). Location is convinient too - close by is great Opera House (performances there are simply great), Parliament and big nice park next to it, metro station Bagramyan is just around the corner. It's not very central but you can get to the main attractions and viewpoints in the center of Yerevan in a matter of few minutes. So don't hesitate - visit Armenia and stay at Villa Ayghedzor (almost luxury but at very reasonable price)
