Hotel Pinos Playa

Location by a lovely cove with amazing coloured water. Had everything we needed and walking distance for more than one restaurant and market.

Expensive for the age and not luxurious but definately location and nice quiet charming area to stay for a few days

Localization of the main building (only main building).

Although the Booking listing mentions that the hotel is composed of two buildings, the way this information is presented leads the customer to believe that both share the same identity and quality standards, clearly identified as part of the hotel. That was not the case.In my situation, after checking in at the main building (whose images match what is shown on Booking), I was surprised to be assigned a room in another building across the street — completely uncharacterized, with no signage, no reception, and conditions very different from those presented in the listing (see attached images from Google Maps).

But the hotel was not clean inside the room there was a consistent smell of raw sewage & the water also stink very bad, they put me in a room right below the dinning area which you can hear the chairs moving and people walking and talking when it was time to eat.

Hotel offers great views over the beach and room was clean and nicely sized. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It was so noisey. Other guests don't have any consideration and with paper thin walls there was no peace and not a good sleep. No tea or coffee facilities in room, and the pool bar didn't open until 9.30am to get a coffee. Not good after little sleep! We went to the restaurant twice only because there was no where else to go as fully booked. Not good value for money and food was terrible. The water was salty as described in other feedback.

- close to the beach- i would say clean but in the last day we discovered that there were ants on the floor in the room- kind personnel and helpful- room service everyday- shower for the last day before leaving if you want to go to the beach- the breakfast at “Es pontas” was better:)

- very expensive for medium hotel;- the room is marketed as with sea view but instead we had a room in another building across the street, with the window near the pool where every night were parties with very loud music- very thin walls, you could clearly hear any fart- ants in the room

In Summary: Avoid this hotel at all costs. The staff is deceitful, the pictures of rooms do not reflect real bad conditions of rooms, and the lack of transparency regarding the salty tap water makes the experience even worse.

1. Deceptive and Unhelpful Staff: From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff attempted to deceive us. We booked a room with a side sea view but were given a room with a street view, and the hotel manager is NOT in the office to provide another solution. Despite contacting booking.com support, I witnessed the receptionist deliberately ignoring calls from support. After I gave my phone to receptionist to speak with the support agent, the hotel manager “MAGICALLY” appeared and offered us a room in the annex building with a very limited sea view, which we declined.2. Extremely Noisy Room: After finally getting another room with a side sea view, we realized faced with major issue at night time - there were noisy air conditioning units and other machinery directly beneath the balcony which were off during our check-in but were turned on during the close to the evening, making it impossible to sleep during the night.3. Salty Tap Water: The hotel does not inform guests that the tap water is salty, which makes it impossible to wash off the salt after swimming in the sea. This should be clearly stated on their booking page as it significantly lowers the standard of the accommodation.The next morning, after an unbearable night, we approached reception to check out earlier, hoping to pay for just 1 night and receive a refund for the remaining 2 nights. The hotel manager refused to provide a refund but did offer to show us another room(still not we have initially reserved), which we declined as we were already too stressed and disappointed. Ultimately, we left after 1 night, losing approximately 300 EUR.Additionally, we filed a "Roja de reclamación"(Hotel must provide the form and stamp it) with the city office, describing the fraudulent actions, misconduct, and misinformation from the hotel, and we are demanding an investigation into the hotel’s booking practices as well as a refund for the 2 unused nights.

The staff was great. It was a great value. It was very safe. Great location.

The view, staff and ease in which all our enquiries and questions were met was superb. Location with restaurant across the road and mini mart meant we were never without food or last minute supplies. Room was always tidy and clean whenever we came back from a day out

Lift was broken everyday we were there which meant luggage up and down stairs. The TV had very little options for English speaking shows and was very dated meaning we couldn’t stream movies or shows.

Breakfast very bad quality, not deserved that money, rooms that close to Pool bar so much noise coming. The Room walls are so thin, toy heard your neighbours, very disturb you.hotel is so old fashioned,not renovated, still old style

Great location by the water, across a nice restaurant, 15 min hike to a scenic point, and a convenience store nearby. Beautiful room, and I like that the hotel supports the environment. I don't know why people say staff are rude. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and very helpful, from the front desk, housekeeping, to their kitchen staff.

Maybe this is not in the hotel but in the Santanyi area, the tap water is salty and has a strong smell. Airconditioning was broken for the last (2) days of our stay, but we are lucky we are by the seaside for some breeze. Wish they had basic items like a kettle and microwave for guests. Seems like most services they offer (i.e airport shuttle, laundry) need to be booked 2-3 days ahead, so those were no use for us. Anything has a fee, even a cup of hot water.

Amazing views! Just on the beach

The water is awful! Please consider depurating it properly, it's essentially sea water with chlorum, it was disgusting, could not even brush my teeth with it. Could offer more services and late check outs. Breakfast only starts from 8am, consider an in-room service

The location is perfect, walking distance to anything you need. The AC worked well (much needed in the heat), the room was nice and clean, and the little balcony came in handy and cozy for early morning coffee and drying clothes.

The hotel was noisy, from the morning the door slamming from other rooms was audible through ear plugs. Every day until 2300 there is music at the pool, which is alright but better notice ahead should be given. The mattress/pillow are also quite hard so if this is something super important to you, give a heads up to the hotel.

The view as you come down to the beach is spectacular. The hotel reception staff were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was good. Had some evening meals which were good and good value for money. The entertainment was great. The hotel is surrounded by great casual restaurants. The pool and pool bar was very good and pool side food good too. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. The Santanyi Cove is beautiful but if you're a solo traveller it's very full of family with children. Children everywhere. Mostly German tourists.

The salty water and if you don't have a car it's not easy to get around to other coves unless by uber or taxi. Not many tours offered other than Monday, Thursday or Friday to go into Palma. Only one day tour to go to Palma, Soller and Valdessemer. So I missed out because I booked a Cove boat tour on a Monday.

Some staff in the restaurant lacked customer service and at some point were rude.

Great view of the beach from a bright and clean room. Appreciated the ceiling fan and AC. A good base from which to explore the local beaches and towns.
