    Pros +

    • Staff were so nice and welcoming! Rooms are spacious.
    • It is an old palace and the rooms were enormous. Very comfortable and modern. However the television did not work and there was no shower. A large tub that is glass enclosed made this unsuitable for anyone but couples - lack of any privacy. The surrounding area was quiet but seemed deserted. All in all it was a pleasant stay.
    • Modern and very clean

    Cons -

    • Rooms are a bit old and dark, and the bathroom was not as clean. In the shower there was hair coiled around the wire. Our room also had a weird configuration for the shower/tub that was exposed to the room.
    • Privacy in shower and bathroom.
    • Heating was too hot but staff sorted the issue

Location was good although a little tricky to get to with the one way system.

The breakfast was a little basic but what was available was nice.

Location was good but be aware there is no dedicated parking!

Noise! There is no soundproofing on the room door at all; music early in the morning and staff servicing other rooms, sounded like they were right inside my room!Secondly, the breakfast is as bad as it gets, no hot buffet and ordered some scrambled eggs that were so dry you could build a house on them! Finally, the shower cubicle in the room was impossible to move in, so small for a normally sized person; if you’re larger you have no chance of washing those harder to reach bits ?

This is a comfortable hotel in the newer part of town. It’s a long walk down to the old town and the square but the bus is easy to navigate to save you on the way back!

I would say it is lives up to its name. Lovely facility, friendly and professional staff. Clean, quiet and modern rooms. They offer breakfast, which is great, but no restaurant for lunch or dinner. However, they offered to provide an excellent assortment of appetizers and wine for a casual “dinner” when we decided to not go out for dinner the first night.

No parking at the hotel (not uncommon), but a parking garage is located about 300 meters away.

Clean and good location. Staff very helpful

Bathroom needs servicing and view from our room was of a skip full of rubbish

Great location not far from steps to Ibla. Standard room with a chair and shower.Quiet.

Not a great deal of variety at breakfast

What a beautiful building, perfectly located for exploring the old town. Like staying in a piece of history. The breakfast buffet was incredible. The wonderful Michelle found us a private terrace, brought us a delicious glass of Sicilian rose and some aperitvos and found us the most amazing restaurant for the evening. Would highly recommend the pool at their sister hotel which was a green oasis, much needed after our visit to the old town in sweltering heat.

Beautiful building, simple but good breakfast. Big room.

It says on their page on booking that they have an electric vehicles charging station which is not at all the case, they don’t even have their own private garage. In the mini bar an open and half eaten bag of cookies. No soap for the hands, had to ask them to bring it. One towel when we were three. Lots of ants in the room and in the morning we had to shake them off our stuff that had been on the floor. Access to the pool which is actually a wellness centre is 20 euros per person.

The staff were very helpful and friendly

The suite I have booked wasn’t as I expected. Two bedrooms suite and one bathroom and the main room without a door so it looks like just a sitting room but they put a bed instead.

Breakfast was excellent, location very good for both main parts of Ragusa. Parking arrangements very convenient, staff super helpful and hotel very comfortable

    Breakfast

The location is ok if you are fit and healthy as it is a challenging walk to the old town and from the public transport

Modern, clean, and amazing smelling hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Spa and indoor pool available at extra cost, not free as advertised on booking. Nearby parking is also available on the streets.Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay again if visiting.

The room and standing shower were small. Sauna was not functioning in the spa. However, the manager was able to provide the spa facilities free of charge due to this, which was very nice of them.

The hotel is located close to the centre and it was the second time I stayed here and perhaps the last time

This time I felt unpleasant during checkout and surely will not come back here again. After checkout, while I was sitting and waiting for my colleagues to pick me up in the area where I always sat during my previous stay to have my coffee and cigarettes, one of the staff walked up to me and asked me rudely to move to another location, saying smoking was not permitted where I was sitting. I was in the middle of a business chat with my company in the UK. In response, I said that this was my second time here and this was the location I had been advised to smoke in. During the last three days I had been here, no one mentioned that this wasn't a smoking area. She was quite rude and it made me very disappointed. Even though I had to wait another 15 minutes for my colleagues to pick me up, I left the hotel and waited on the road.

Perfectly clean and elegant in an old palace. Public parking slot available within 5mn walk.

    Very bad

Old furniture, staff unfriendly, breakfast was very very poor, ham even smell bad!!!

    7TuomasPosted on: 11-20-2023

Pleasant overall interior, decent breakfast, room characteristics not the best.

The lack of a proper window in the room should have been clarified better upon reservation. Temperature control did not work (no air conditioner).

    Big room

Dirty when we arrived and they've "forgot" to do our room one day. The equipment in the room (sink, bathtub, ..) were partially working. The isolation of our door room with the corridor was terrible. The breakfast is good but the staff not very proactive. Globally you can remove the "luxury" mentioned in the name.
