You will certainly appreciate the high quality of the materials chosen for the restoration and its central location, right behind the superb San Giovanni Battista Cathedral. Pros +
- Only the location
- Location was great.
- The hotel is in an excellent location. With parking out side if you can find it. The staff are friendly. There is a square very close which is great on a sunny day.
Cons -
- I understand that is a very old building but the rooms could be cleaner and more modern. Bed was not comfortable and the bed sheets were rough and smelled so gross. Also this place is way overpriced for what it is
- Property was closed when I arrived. Staff said this was my fault for not arriving during hours when reception. Eventually they agreed that the information on their website and on the Booking.com was out-of-date. I didn't like first reaction of blame the guest!
- The hotel could be great but is run down with mould on the walls and paint falling off the walls. Gaming doors and missing sink plugs, and shower door which does not close and shower this is not fixed to the wall. All these items could be easily fixed, but the staff did not seem keen to look at them.

Room was big and airy and had most things I needed. Proprietor was helpful … good location as a base for exploring
I guess for my budget my expectations were somewhat limited The shower cubicle was in a poor state with mould above the cubicleIn room tea facilities on offer but no coffee.. and I’m a coffee drinkerBreakfast was also very limited in terms of selection but, as I say, perhaps to be expected given the per night cost
Size of room. Good breakfast.
A little tired and could be updated in places.
The hotel was located in the centre of Rakusa Superiore, but unfortunately it was quite for from the intersting part of town , Ibla. Stall was helpful after a rough start. The whole building was a formerly grand 18th century mansion block - faded but still picturesque.
Our room was the size of a small conference hall, but poorly lit. The hotel had run out of local maps and the local information office was closed at weekends. (the owner did eventually do us a black and white map from the web)
Great location. Close to the city center and around wonderful Resturants, bars, and close to the bus stop! The hotel used to be a castle I think the front desk girl said so that’s very interesting! The room for 130 euro and 150 usd for two nights, we thought we a deal! They also offered breakfast which is wonderful traveling through Sicily! The front desk woman was as helpful as she wanted to be!
It was very cold throughout the castle, I guess no one can help this, there was mold in our bathroom- on the walls. If you have any type of allergy/ breathing issues- do NOT stay here!We did slip a few times walking in the room because of the floors. The front desk woman has a dream job and only is at the desk for a few hours, did not answer any emails, and we had to go to see her, on her time. The beds were so so soooo uncomfortable. If you have a bad back or a hip replacement like my mom, this isn’t for you. Do not stay here. For the price 75 USD- you get what you pay for. All-in-all is was clean and in a nice location. You cannot ask for anything really more than that. Oh we had room 13. Enough said.
The building is very nice and the area is great.
Unfortunately, the hotel room was simply dirty. I have found a box of cigarettes leftovers in the jar in the balcony… on top of that, there was some very old food in the fridge. I was surprised by the fact that the entire room was not really clean.
Only the location.
I don't even know where to start. The room was very dirty. The bathroom was the worst.I took photos, but Booking.com probably won't allow to publish it.Don't be fooled by the nice photos.I do not know when they took those ,the hotel must been new then back to the time. Now it's runned down.In the back of the hotel some building work going on,so you don't have the nice garden either what on the photos. If I knew that they did not charged my card Iwould look for another hotel when we arrived.Dosen't matter how many stars is the hotel, but it should be clean it is no excuse for this.We did not needed luxury.Did not wanted to touch anything, cleaned the sink, wiped things, remote controll was discusting.Needed to clean that as well.It was a big burn mark on the wooden panel in the room like 2×2 m big.In the bathroom the free toiletries was a big liquid soap holder which was broken off from the wall, and just left on the side of the sink,in the shower tha saim, left on the shower tray on the floor. We did buy some nice toiletries anyway. The bed is unhygienic,no matrac or pillow covers, very hard like you would sleep on bricks. All my body was hurting in the mornings.Dirty windows, blinds. So all over the hotel maintenance was bad,but the worst thing is that needed to spend our few days holiday in a filthy hotel room, did't even wanted to spend time there,we was out all the time.Haited to go back there.Unfortunately Booking.com could't manage to help and get back any compensation eather for us from the hotel. So this is why I am writing this rewiew that another people don't do this mistake and a Hotel room will ruin they holiday. It is still a mistery for us how this hotel got the good rewiews???
Location
Shower fell off wall. Breakfast average. Very small bedroom. View into courtyard only
The location was greatBreakfast was good with lots of choices and variety
The outside balconies were very dusty and had obviously not been cleaned in a whileOtherwise we loved our time in Ragusa and Vittoria Veneto was a great choice
Good bed and room quality, and nice location. Perfect for the low price. Thanks !
Breakfast quality could be little bit better. But really OK for the price. Thanks !
Large room very modern inside renovated to high standard. Location 5 mins walk to many local restaurants.
Location was good, able to walk around town & site see. Room was large and comfortable with small balcony. Breakfast was served in your room. This may change as they were doing renovations on the ground floor - looked like it might be a restaurant.
Shower was small,
nice staff. good bathroom and great shower
thought the property was on s inLA not superior.
Location was good, Room are nice looking classical high ceilings tasty and comfortable. The building itself is also very classical inside.Staff was friendly.
the location is ok but there is nothing else good in the place
the room was terrible.. the shower room was really moldy and the place was really untidy. we were only in the hotel for 45 min and checked out and went to another hotel! The hotel has a reception clerk only a few hours a day. this was more of a hostel than a hotel
Sufficient… no meat or cheese. No option for extra coffee
Didn’t love breakfast in the room. Prefer to eat elsewhere
location big room
no luggage storage after checkout, very poor breakfast, not as advertised not served in dining room
Staff is lovely and very helpful, room was very big.
Room was a little cold.
