    Pros +

    • The staff and the beakfast, and the value for money, assuming it's a 2-star hotel.
    • Hotel was very convenient with Metro nearby. We arrived early and staff found us a room right away! Breakfast on the 10th floor with a great view was excellent!
    • Clean, comfortable, nice. The mattress was very comfortable, good bathroom (I just wish they had conditioner- there was only shampoo). The restaurant on the top floor was delicious!! I got a fish (not the cod- the other one) that comes with risotto and devoured the whole plate, so good!! Breakfast is also good. . It’s located in a residential area of Gaia (not Porto) but I didn’t really care about that, just saying.

    Cons -

    • It's a 2-star hotel in most countries. Basic room and linen, basic bathroom.
    • No air conditioning Noisy street if you open window for air
    • They charge taxes for additional people if booked a room of twin beds and I only had my name on the reservation… ridiculous why would I book two beds if I’m alone?

    Value for money.

Very professional and helpful gentleman at reception. We got a free upgrade to a beautiful suite which was great. Good breakfast. Free parling

There was a problem with the shower faucet.

Nice breakfast. Location was very good.

My room was given to someone else. The room I received in exchange was not close to my traveling family, but was on the executive floor, which was nice. However, the room was very warm and uncomfortable. The A/C apparently was not working. Also, the hotel was dated.

We don’t like anything about the property. It was a bad location and the property was dirty. We did not stay there. We checked in and we immediately left and requested a refund the hotel refused to give it to us, even though we had only been there for less than 15 minutes

We had an excellent breakfast at the restaurant on the top floor, which offered a great view. The rooms were clean, and the location was superb, with metro transit just 2 minutes away, making it easy to access major attractions. The staff were particularly impressive - attentive, efficient, and friendly. Special mention to Tiago and Juliana at reception, who were kind and made our trip to Portugal truly special.Thank you so much!

Unable to control room temperature! Very limited TV programs for international travellers. Fridge didn't work. Limited/ insufficient, inconviently located power sockets

Good hotel, close to the Porto center (15min walk downhill to the famous bridge). Tasty breakfast, however would be nice to have some veggies offered as well. The staff was really nice!

I dont think the hotel should be rated 4 starts, rather 3, as it is obviously outdated and the breakfast options are not so various.Nontheless we enojyed our stay and had a fantastic time :))).

    9EstherPosted on: 10-14-2024

Spacious room. Dining room offered buffet dinner with large and tasty selection.

    7TadPosted on: 10-5-2024

The room was spacious and clean. We had two large single beds and it was quiet. The breakfast was included in the price and it was great looking out from the 8th floor while having a glass of orange juice and some nice toast. The bar was OK, but it was a bit of a rip off having to pay for a few peanuts. The price is OK considering the location and it's great having a metro stop out side.

The room was somewhat dated and it did not have a USB socketThe shower was in the bath and it was very claustrophobic. There were no tissues in the room. No bottled water, and considering it is a 4* hotel there were no tea and coffee making facilitiesIn total, the hotel was OK, but the lack of amenities does not reflect a 4* hotel

    Friendly employees, cheap offer

Not good breakfast: dirty tables, no service, not welcomingOld bathroom, not good closing windows, thin walls, hotel has seen their best times

We only stayed for a night, but the location was perfect to explore Porto's downtown. We also had to leave really early to the airport, but the Black Tulip's team was kind enough to prepare 2x breakfast packages :)
