Hotel Tilia - Self Check-in

Location, cleanliness and quiet!

Great proximity to train station, perfect for visiting Zurich. The room was clean and comfortable. A great base for exploring. Several takeaways and supermarkets close by. Although close to the tracks, the train noise was very faint.

The hotel is well located for touring Switzerland by public transport. The room was clean comfortable and quiet despite being close to the railway.

The room would be great if it had tea and coffee making facilities in the room instead of having to go to reception for them.

would have been nice to have cold juice and a better selection of pastries. Fans or AC in the room during a heatwave would have been good (provided on day 3)

Not much - at least the linen was clean.

Trains 5m away from your window every 10 minutes & then freight trains late at night - it will ruin the stay for you - avoid!No A/C or fan (middle of summer)Worst of all is the Rude / arrogant / unwelcoming male in the office - There is no information in the room or signage anywhere on the property regarding where the parking is located. He ignored us for 5 minutes as he rushed to pack up & leave - it was 1pm.

Everything except the glass door to the bathroom was very nice.

The bathroom has a glass door and a window that let in the morning light which was annoying when I was trying to sleep in.

The room was of a nice size, big balcony, had the minimum amenities that one would expect, was very clean and conveniently located to the train station. The check-in kiosk works well and the coffee machine is great.

The room wasn't very soundproof which is surprising given Swiss construction. Speaking chairs in the neighbors room at 5 o'clock in the morning were very disturbing. The trains can be heard loudly although our room was facing the back, away from the tracks.

The room was clean, especially the bathroom. The location was really convenient.The amenities were appreciated for a short stay.The room is well maintained, despite the small damages from previous loaners.

The self check-in, although highly functional, made the interaction with the staff inexistent. It was quite a shame also for the Check-Out. I felt, even if it was easy and functional, that the human interaction with the staff was missing.

-Nice large rooms with all comforts-Clean -There is no breakfast but there is coffee, croisant and orange juice free at athe reception, which are OK.-WiFi is really fine.

-We did check-in automatically. It was not difficult. But in 3 days we didn't see the reception at all, even when we left. We wanted to ask for an invoice but we asked by e-mail and they answered immediately. So the absence of reception is not a problem, it is just strange.-The real problem is the noise from the nearby train and the bells at 7 am from the nearby church, which are really annoying. Fortunately there is no train during night 12-5 or 6 am so I could slept. They give you earplugs for free but I cannot sleep with them. If someone is OK with earplugs then everyhting is fine.

Modern comfy room with all necessities. Clean. Very nice staff. Small fridge in room. No kettle in room but good coffee machine and tea making facilities available (self service ) at reception.

The hotel itself was great and as expected. However, our room was right next to a noisy church bell which started early in the morning until late at night and went off every 15 minutes - interrupting our sleep. The railway line is also very close but not as noisy. Both were not directly connected with the hotel of course but it did affect the quality of our stay.

When we arrived, I couldn't find where to check in and the man at the reception was very nice to help us out. The room was clean and had everything we need. The kitchen and bathroom was available per floor and an extra toilet as well. The room also had a seating area so we could relax in place other than the beds which was nice. The appartement is also very close to the train station and has direct connection to Zurich center.

While the room itself was clean, there were used towels in the closets. The room is also right next to the train station and we had our windows open because it was hot so when the train passed, it was like it passed right through your room.

Everything was as it was in the description, the location is very close to the train station and shops, about 6 minutes walk. The location, clean and from them every morning, croissant, coffee and juice.

Good location and clean. Although it is close to the train track, it is not noisy in the room.

The room is a bit small.
