Nicely kept and traditional German hotel.

The staff was wonderful, very accomodating, and super friendly. I traveled for work and the hotel was exactly what I needed. The room was spacious and the price was great.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The beds were also comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the pillow choices! Each bed was equipped with both typical European fluffy pillows and foam supportive pillows. It really made the sleeping a great success!

The shower was the real shortfall. When turned on, the hand-held shower wand barely allowed enough water to qualify as working, and the upper shower head was so clogged with hard water deposits it did not work. This problem actually caused damages to the shower head, effectively splitting/breaking it. Also, a mold problem in the shower has begun in the corners and around the bottom of the shower basin where it meets the glass walls.

There are many stair - I didn’t mind but some might find them difficult.

The smell of the fryer oil from the restaurant filled the entire first floor.

We had dinner twice there, the staff was very friendly but the food was mediocre. I had baked fish on the second night and was told that my half raw cold (obviously not yet totally unthawed) trout was supposed to be like like that. A neighbouring table had the same complaint about their fish. A pity, considering they source their fish locally.

Charming building and rooms. The staff was amazing!! It was so nice to have a place to eat at the end of the day. Had an absolutely amazing stay!! The beds were so comfortable.

Parking was not easy to find.

The hotel itself has clearly had a lot of time, energy and money invested in it, to modernise and make it comfortable inside. Staff were generally helpful and friendly, and the beer from the associated brewery was excellent.

The hotel has no parking, so needed to park on-street (max 2 hours, but cheap), or in a covered parking about five minutes away. We arrived to find the restaurant was closed as the staff were working at a local festival, which we had not been told about before arrival. We did have lunch one day, and the food was very good. HOWEVER, be aware that the brewery is adjacent to the hotel, in the rear courtyard, and a number of rooms (including ours) face onto this area, meaning that on both mornings workmen began at 6.00 am to shift crates of beer bottles about, while talking very loudly - delivery vans were also coming and going, so if you value your sleep while on holiday, think carefully about choosing this hotel.

Due to my work hours I could not have breakfast at the inn but there is a wonderful bakery a few doors down that opens very early in the morning.

I can't really think of anything I did not like of Sperber Brau.

The staff is just wonderful. The premises is clean and very tidy. The restaurant is just fantastic with local cuisine and the beer is ambrosia! Parking can be tricky in front, but there are many nearby lots. Nothing that cannot be navigated very easily. It was a great stay. I sincerely thank the staff and owners.

Can't really say. It was a pretty good stay and there were no major issues. Anything else would be petty.

Unfortunately restaurant closed at 21:00 so I could not order dinner at the time of my arriver (around 22:00).

Easy check in, cleanliness was excellent, the decor and personal touch was top notch. Staff was very kind, professional and helpful. The beds were amazing. We especially loved the pillows! The variety and quality of breakfast items were excellent. We loved our visit there.

The stairs were extensive but worth the climb!! We would choose stay there again.

Exceptional small hotel in the centre of town. Free beer in the room and good restraunt downstairs. Rooms were small but clean and have a premium feel. Would definitely come back to stay.

Very nice location and friendly staff! Our family apartment was spacious and very lovely!

We have stayed here before, loved it, and come back again. Location is in a beautiful, historic city, and dinner was delicious. Check out the Kneipp bath, very refreshing on a hot day.

Spongy mattress and synthetic blanket (but this depends on personal preference). Sometimes no hot water in the evening
