About
Enjoying a tranquil location near the historic town of Sulzbach-Rosenberg, this family-run 3-star hotel offers a traditional atmosphere, hearty cuisine, gym, sauna and an outdoor swimming pool. The Gasthof am Forsthof is in beautifully wooded countryside in the Fränkische Schweiz (Franconian Switzerland) nature park, making it popular with guests on a hiking or relaxation break. Run by the same family since 1876, the Gasthof am Forsthof boasts a long tradition of Franconian hospitality. Get each morning off to an energetic start with the buffet breakfast which is included in the room rate. Enjoy a selection of Franconian specialties and American cuisine in the hotel restaurant, or on the terrace in summertime. Make use of the outdoor swimming pool, sunbathing lawn and playground when the weather's nice. You can work out in the gym and relax in the hotel sauna all year round.

Pros +
- Rooms were clean and tidy.
- location, room < breakfast
- what a darling property in a quaint area of Germany. Close to Vilseck Army Garrison, it was easy to get where we needed to go and to great places to eat. The owners are so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend!!!!
Cons -
- Simple and monotone breakfast. Salami every morning. Cheap but that's all.
- no elevator, carried my own suitcase up to second floor.
- The room has poor air flow, even with all the window open. Bring a fan if you are coming during the warmer months.

The area is quiet minus the occasional train rolling by. Room was super clean and the owner was extremely friendly.
