Campanile Saint-Etienne Est- Saint-Chamond

This accommodation was easy to find, and the check-in was problem-free. Comfy bed, and a bath was an added bonus. A fantastic breakfast was on display, with an assortment of pasties, cakes, and breads - including bacon and scrambled egg, which was just superb! The member of staff on duty at breakfast spoke perfect English, which was great, as my French is limited, so this was much appreciated!

I cannot think of anything which could be bettered!

Breakfast good but overpriced

Signage from the town was very poor. The actual route is quite direct once you know but it’s guesswork unless you arrive from the motorway.Blinds/curtains didn’t quite cover the windows

For a stop over on our trip it’s very convenient, safe , good location close to the express way , helpful and welcoming staff

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was good and the breakfast was excellent. The room was warm and the beds comfortable. Location is perfect, close to the motorway but not too noisy with a Total garage on site.

Location was difficult to get taxis easilyLocation had only one SuperMarket so making choices was difficult I like the cheerful behaviour of the Receptionists and they are really helpful and supportive

Easy to find. Welcomed with a smile. The restaurant and bar were open.

We've stayed in many Campaniles and this is certainly one of the better ones, in our opinion. Easy to get to, which does mean traffic noise, but it has an amazing rural view as it's elevated from the autoroute. Everything was nice and clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We had drinks outside on the sunny but sheltered terrace, enabling us to look at the view. The restaurant was closed but pizzas could be ordered in, which were fine. Breakfast was good. The Campanile is set to one side of a service area so there was a convenient petrol station on hand for us to use before our onward journey.

A small problem with the shower. It was in a bath which was difficult to get in and out safely.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice shower and working airco. Good breakfast. Close to motorway but not noisy. Nice grassy area in front for the dog.

Well located to break up a north south cross France road trip

Pretty dated room and communal areas. Bed bit baggy for my taste but probably ok if you like softer beds. No information on breakfast hours in rooms so we missed breakfast due to arriving after reception closed.

Perfect stay for a night. Carpark safe and in front of hotel room like motel. Very friendly and caretaking lady at evening reception. No noise from highway nextdoor.
