New Era Hotel Old Town - parking with fee nearby - NOT at the hotel !

Confortable, great staff, breakfast and location

Perfect location, nice staff, clean

Right in the heart of the old town. Room was nice and clean. Despite the location full of bars and music i did not hear anything in the room at night so that is a plus. Good decent breakfast too.

When we arrived we noticed there was only 1 towel in the bathroom for 2 people, so we had to ask more. When we checked out they ask if we have gone to the "thermals" as towels were missing. Our mistake was not reporting this as soon as we arrived. No charges or anything as we did not take the towels out, but too weird... Their policy w the towels is a bit over the top.... For the rest was ok i guess, Complimentary bottles of water after just the first day would be nice...

it was incredibly loud during nights from 11 pm to 5 am, because hotel is located next to the pubs and night clubs. nothing hotel itself can do about it. but it might affect your sleep and plans, unless you plan to party all night long anyways.

Fair to say a very bad experience for me

I try to be as descriptive as I can in this review and I hope my review explains the low scoring. I try to be as fair as I can, too.* location is the best. It's in the middle of old town and in walking distance to important sites.* Staff are OK. They accommodated my request to change the room after we walked into the first room. The room I had booked had no windows (I could not locate anywhere on the booking.com seeing that room does not have windows...). They accommodated my request to change to a room with window (i did not see any other guests so i assume they were quite empty on rooms), however, they charged me additional 15 euros per night. Initially they said 10, but changed their word to 15.* windows are not soundproof and there are couple of clubs nearby. They start around 10 pm and finish around 6 am. It is LOUD! I could not get a good sleep at all! I don't know if it is the case for all rooms or that specific room. I could not see any other guests during my stay. So, if it's specific to that room, I wonder why they did not give me another room!* ok, this one is really tricky as I hate accusing anyone, and personally give others benefit of doubts. Thus I'm going to use term "lose" instead of "stealing". I left my Samsung earphones on the table and when returned to the hotel on last night, packed it and went to airport. At my next destination I realized that there are no earphones in the case and they are lost!!* Taxi or Uber can not drive to the hotel location and you need to haul your luggage for 3-5 mins on rough cobblestone. There is a very good chance of damaging luggage wheels on your 2 commutes!* breakfast were not as fresh, but eatable.* overall, there is no benefit in booking this property in my view. You can find cleaner, newer, and better service hotels in very close walking distance to the old town with similar prices and more peace of mind and of course being able to SLEEP!

Nice breakfast with a variety of different options. An excellent location and pleasant staff. Really good service with immediate responses from the manager when I had any queries before our stay and some good recommendations

Not the fault of the hotel but the night club music can be loud but was not too much of an issue for us

Great location in the centre of the city

The issue with such a central location was that it was quite loud late into the night. Also the heating was on and it was too hot

Very good location in the city center, there is metro tram and buses at 5 minutes walk and a lot of bars and restaurants. The breakfast is very good with a lot of choices.

There is a lot of noise from 7PM to 6AM everyday, even with the window is closed we here loud basses.

Nothing; it was crazy loud, I had to leave my room at 1 am and move to another hotel to be able to get a sleep.

The rooms are ugly, they don’t look like on the photos, they don’t have windows (!!!!), there is this uncomfortable scent in the hotel — as if they used a scent normally used in toilets or in cars but in the whole building. It was a nightmare.

The location is in the heart of old town. Can be reached only by foot so if you don't have to much luggage it's not a big problem. If you need parking you can use prking garage in Unirea Shopping center for 40lei/day, it's close by 10min walk. A lot of restaurants and bars are very close to the hotel location, so if you are looking for fun this is the right place for you. The hotel room is spacious, clean and with very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent.

Maybe the sound insulation of the hotel could be better. If you mind noise and loud music from local bars especially during the weekends maybe this is not the right place for you.

Good Hotel, but not in a good location!

LOCATION! VERY BAD LOCATION! All night loud music on the street! The Hotel is inaccessible by car. No parking, expensive restaurants&tavern on the street.

The hotel is nice and clean, with friendly and client-oriented personal.

During the night, loud music from nearby street clubs was disruptive.

The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and clean, with a lovely big shower. The location is very central. Staff were lovely.

A little bit noisy at night but the sound proofing is good. Breakfast was a bit basic continental style.

The location is very central, it is literally in the middle of the party strip, which I hadn't realised when booking, but it ended up working out great for myself and my friend as we decided to go with ''if you can't beat them, join them' philosophy. I did spend the first night going to bed quite early though and although you could hear noise from the bars in the distance, once I put some earplugs in, I couldn't hear anything.

There was nothing I didn't like, I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Bucharest.
