Everything was great with the hotel, food excellent and very friendly stuff

The room #407 had a really specific and strange smell, time to change toilet brush.

Great place, new rooms, 4 stars amenities. Great buffet breakfast. If you manage to get a great rate too, it's the perfect choice if you need to stay close to the city center

The ramp down to the hotel is steep and not easy to move luggage.

This hotel is in a great location to explore Bucharest. Room was spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable with two pillows each. Shower good, lots of hot water. Room was quiet. Reception staff was wonderful, especially Ravi. Breakfast buffet is amazing with all the traditional offerings like eggs & bacon, but also with healthy options like muesli and plant based milk, fresh fruit salad, lots of fresh veggies, really good coffee, etc. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location. Walking distance from the city center. There is parking for additional 10 Euros. The restaurant is very good, both for dinner and breakfast. The room was spacious and the staff was very helpful.

I like this hotel. Rooms are big enough, very clean. The peoples are very profesional. We'll came back with a big pleasure. Location is perfect. The food in restaurant is diversified. Per total, we recommend this hotel for all the people what to enjoy a vacation in this beautiful city,Bucharest.

1. Although the hotel is located in a difficult to access place for public transport, it is still located in the city center and you can reach a variety of attractions on foot.2. The breakfast is very wonderful with a very large selection!3. The room was large and comfortable with all the amenities.

1. On the Booking website they indicated that there was a minibar in the room, but there was nothing of the sort, the fridge was completely empty!2. The reception staff seemed rude and unwilling to understand the situation or try to solve the problem. Especially those on the night shift. 3. There was no electric kettle in the room.

Everything was good

The front desk staff was phenomenal. Every one of them went out of their way to help us. Also, their communication before our stay was prompt and helpful. This was our home base while staying a week in Romania. We were able to leave our large luggage pieces in storage with them and take overnight bags on short trips while always coming back to stay here. The breakfast was delicious every morning. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it.

There’s a lot to like about this hotel. I read many reviews of hotels in old town that talked about the noise from bars till early morning. Hotel Berthelot is just off a major street, but is so much quieter! The location worked well for me to walk to numerous sights, and there are many choices for food, drink and groceries in the area. Breakfast was fantastic, a large selection every morning and attentive staff. I do not understand how anyone could complain about this breakfast buffet! And having an elevator is helpful.

There was a small refrigerator in my room, which I planned to use for water, Pepsi and food. I discovered quickly that it only works when the electricity is on - which is only when the key in the slot at the door. I still had a few things in it when I left one day, and came back to see housekeeping had unplugged it. What is the point of having a refrigerator if you cannot use it?? Especially as housekeeping clearly didn’t check to see if there was food in it. There is also no electric kettle. A nice coffee maker (with exactly one pod), but no ability to heat water later in the day for tea. Having an electric kettle and actually being able to use the fridge would improve the experience.

Great location. Easy to reach and do anything within the premises. Clean room, everything was functional. Very polite and helpful staff, good value, and conveniently located.
