- Citadella is a nice hotel with a great location near Arena Naționala Stadium & Monza Hospital. Very clean, quiet, and with a good breakfast buffet on the 5th (top) floor.Staff were super friendly and helpful. Paid public parking (50RON all day) is available about 40-50 yards from the hotel( lots of spaces available). However, occasionally, you can find a spot right in front of the hotel. The hotel is literally within about 100-150m from Obor Market ( Piața Obor ). For anyone interested in the best “mititei” in Bucharest, a walking trip to Piața Obor will be rewarded with clearly the best “mici” in Bucharest at “Terasa Obor”.The hotel is also well placed for quick access (less then 10 mins walk) to one of the main subway lines (metrou), with direct access to the main railroad station ( Gara de Nord). Close by are tramway and bus lines stations.
- It was clean and nice rooms good size. Nice temperature. WiFi was good.
- Only the location
Cons -
- Very loud people in other rooms, keep waking me up during night. Second night there were some fireworks just in front of the hotel around midnight. Why? I don’t have a clue. But second night was not good for sleep. They don’t clean the room in between stays, and the cleaning lady was very loud on her phone on speaker, quite early in the day. You could see a duvet in the cupboard that was very used. They could do with nice fluffy duvets. The duvet was left for me to put in the cover I guess as the cover was on the bed and the duvet in the cupboard. But i didn’t need it as it was warm enough. Anyway that didn’t look good.
- Breakfast was not good , the eggs and the vegetables didn't seem fresh. The cleanness in the room was so so.. there was some food under the bed left uncleaned. The bathroom was okay, but very small one with no amenities except soap and toilet paper. One of the guys in the reception was not really welcoming...we felt like uninvited guests ? There was no drinking water left in the room. So,I would say it was expensive for the quality and the service received.
- The furniture is basic.I think it is former campus hostage. The hotel is on the middle of residential area - nothing’s interesting for the guest of the town

The staff were friendly and helpful. Room and hotel spotless re cleanliness. Close to Arena Nationala, reason why I selected it. If you opted for breakfast, there was a good variety of options to select. Minibar was stocked.
Clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. On the foot away from national stadium. There are many public transport on suitable distance
The furniture is basic.I think it is former campus hostage. The hotel is on the middle of residential area - nothing’s interesting for the guest of the town
The place was very small and definitely not suitable for two people. We could barely move inside the room. The place was fairly clean and the staff is nice.
Very small room and the room service did not fix the bed and change the towels
It was close to Arena Nationala
- the breakfast - very low quality- the ammenities in the room - basic stuff like low quality soap, no shampoo- very expensive given all this
The room was clean and functional. Bathroom was well appointed albeit a little small. It was near local transport network
The staff were a little unfriendly but not unpleasant.
Close to location and walking distance from metro station. 10 minute walk
The initial room smelled strongly like cigarretes. The walls were the root cause thus confirming that they allow smoking. I do not have issues with smokers but the room was a non smoking room as there were signs all over that you cannot smoke. When initially asking for them to change the room they stated that they do not have any available and that they cannot stop the clients from smoking in the room. By law smoking detectors need to be present in every room. There was a smoking detector in that room but I can only deduct that it was not functional as the smoke smell was unbearable. So yes you can stop clients from smoking by having sensitive smoke detectors. I assure you they will not smoke again after triggering the alarm. After speaking with another person I was able to change my room to an acceptable smelling one. The room also smelled like cigarretes but at least I have been able to sleep in that smell. The lady that resolved our issue was nice but the initial person was defensive and for 60 euros a night I expect more understanding regarding issues like that
The location was ok, i didn't like the rest
The room was not as beautiful as in the pictures, it was cigarette smoke in the room from the vent that was working non stop, very noisy and couldn't be turned off. The duvet was not put on, i had to make the bed by myself. The cleaning staff was noisy in the morning and they woke me up. I didn't like the breakfast. I was actually the only person at the breakfast and it didn't look fresh and good so i only ate honey with butter and toast. Doesn't worth the money
24h check in
I've booked double bed and got 2 beds...
Very clean hotel, great location and 24/7 reception. We checked in @ 01:00AM.
The windows insulation could be much much beter. We hoy walked up early morning, by the trafic on the street.Parking spots are limited, however we managed to find free parking on the street just across the hotel entrance.
The hotel is a hotel, it's clean. The food is good, also. In general the staff was friendly.
What I didn't like was the place itself - the unfinished construction next door. The guy at the front desk was either new or couldn't handle it quickly and expeditiously.
Far away from center
No parking ?️, one key for each room
The hotel is in a very good location, just off a main road. There are supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and a metro stop, all within a short walk from the hotel. The stairs are wide and easy to climb and descend. The wifi worked very well, and I was able to do my work well. The bathroom, while a bit tiny, was quite adequate, with warm and cold water, a good shower and clean linen.
The hotel has balconies on every floor, and theoretically, one could sit there in the morning or evening to have some fresh air, but in practice, the balconies were used by smokers. I guess this is a general problem in Romania. The staff did their job, but beyond that, were not very helpful with local information or any other help. I asked 2 different staff at the reception for help on 2 occasions, and neither was helpful.
Clean, simple, comfortable
Only sliced white bread at breakfast.
I really appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel and how kind and respectable the cleaning staff was. Hotel implements sustainable practices, the neighbourhood is safe and pleasant, there are shops and restaurants around and convenient public transportation. The staff of the hotel was also very nice.
The hotel is located next to the student houses, which I haven't checked upfront. You may want to have it in mind, especially while staying over weekends that it may get noisy late at night. Not the hotel's fault though.
The hotel was very nice and easy to find. We found a free place in the street close to the hotel to park the car. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely return again.
