Hotel Gerberhaus

This is the Only place I stay when in Rothenburg! I stayed a week last year and fell in love with the staff and the amazing breakfast every morning! You won't be disappointed staying here! See you next trip ??

The hotel’s location is right in the heart of the tourist area, making it very convenient for exploring Rothenburg. The place has a very cozy, homey feel, and everything was well maintained and comfortable. Most importantly, the staff and the people managing the hotel were extremely kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which truly made us feel at home.

There was no elevator but it’s manageable.

It was beyond expectations! Breakfast each morning was fantastic. The hotel is so charming and warm and the hosts equally so. We stayed in an apartment along the wall which was well appointed and very quiet. We loved being there during the Weihnachtsmarkt. You must walk the wall and also visit the criminal museum. I plan to bring my grandchildren back when they are a bit older to experience such a historical place.

The location was awesome. It was in the walled city which was really cool. The staff was warm and welcoming and i slept really well.

Smelled a little mildewy, the wifi was spotty at best, breakfast was only okay, and the front door was locked at 6:30 which was inconvenient. But overall would stay here again.

Beautiful property, excellent breakfast. The mother and daughter host treated us like we were family. Rothenberg is a beautiful town and this is just the right choice if you’re looking for a hotel.

The interior was beautiful - straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms, centrally located, wonderful breakfast - we will be staying here again!

Everything was amazing!

The breakfast at this location is incredible. This is such a cozy hotel that just makes you feel at home. The location of the hotel was great as we could go by foot to visit the city, no need to get into the car.

It seemed like they might have been understaffed which caused some tension. They did seem to manage it well and keep the guests happy.

Very family friendly, even with toys and books for children. Very clean, nice bathrooms with heated tile floors. Very good breakfast. Beds comfortable. Excellent location.

A bit expensive. Limited parking. On street parking only free from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. otherwise, paid parking.

Amazing Location, they accommodated us exceptionally well with our very late arrival.

Breakfast could use some type of egg choice (scrambled, hard-boiled, other), and the coffee was extremely strong and almost undrinkable.

Nice location. Like the personality in the reception and breakfast area.

Only a tub in the bathroom where you couldn't stadn up and shower and the floor got all wet. Not much light in room (lamps). Small bed. Not so comforable. First impression of breakfast - really good. But then we had the bread. So dry that it must have been from the day before or older. Really sad.

We loved the location! The facility was quite authentic as an older home in the city. Breakfast was amazing.

Right in the heart of city center. The building dates back to the 16th century. Each room is unique. Very comfy bed and modern bathroom. Owner is wonderful and made sure we had all that we needed. Parking was convenient, not too far away.

Breakfast was very good but location of the buffet was awkward. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. They made us feel completely welcome.

The WiFi was terrible. It was hard to login and it would fade out without warning. We had moths in our room. The shower was awkward and did not contain the water within the shower area.

Absolutely delightful place to stay in a great walled City that was fun to visit. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and very comfortable, with 2 arge chairs at the table Our hostess was friendly and helpful with suggestions for our stay. At breakfast, which was included at a reasonable rate, everything was beautifully presented and the variety of foods were delicious. Location was perfect to visit Rothenburg

I can’t think of anything we didn’t love. We wish it had been sunny so we could enjoy the garden!

Staff were very friendly, parking was available. My large dog was made very welcome. Breakfast was nice. Bathroom was a little small but most European bathrooms are. Would definitely stay again
