    Pros +

    • Very spacious room and bathroom. Beautiful surrounding. Great view over the garden/resort.
    • Location, looking out onto golf course. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms adequate for a couple of days. Parking.
    • Very nice location. Very quiet. Easy to find

    Cons -

    • Stating the correct address on Booking.com would help. Housenumber is 37E instead of 37. It is a few kilometer difference. Very basic breakfast for 15 euro. Would be fair to state the price at Booking.com.
    • Rooms too hot. Had to have windows open and we all got covered with mosquito bites. Choice of food in the evening very limited and expensive. Quality of the WiFi was virtually unusable. Breakfast definitely not worth £13?
    • No kettle, tea, coffee, milk in room.Room overlooked the outside seating area which was noisy

The bed in the room was large & the bathroom/Shower room was clean. The bar staff were friendly & were very helpful.

The whole building could have money spent on it giving it a fresh & clean appearance. Some of the corridors were very dark & dated. Could do with a spa or small swimming pool which could make the experience a lot better

Quiet location ,large rooms and very comfortable beds ,polite and helpful bar staff, we will be back next year for another stay

Could have done with a fan in the rooms as they get quite stuffy and a kettle , other than that a perfect stay

The place itself was very nice...lovely location, overlooking the golf course (and I don't play golf), room was spacious and the bed was large and comfortable. However, as mentioned in another review, no aircon was an issue. It was a day close to 30 degrees and the room was quite hot and no fan to move the air. But quite good value for the money.

We felt like we were just there to fill an empty room. The staff, from reception to bar and waiting staff acted like we didn't exist. It became quite obvious that the regular patrons or club members got the attention. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was expensive, and extremely underwhelming. This was after we managed to attract attention to order our food. This took an eternity to come, and, for the money, we've had far better...really, far better for less money. When we managed to attract attention to order dessert and coffee, the coffee arrived, but no dessert, until, again, managing to attract attention, it was obvious that it was forgotten, so it arrived later, with no apology.Breakfast the next morning...15 Euro each, was just another major disappointment. The choices were minimal, one choice of cerial (which was muesli I think) some rolls, coffee, boiled eggs (which ran out 30 minutes before breakfast finished so they turned the warmer off so that another guestwho arrived after this had to insist they do eggs for her). I know it may be minor to some, but I drink black/English Breakfast tea....there was none, and they couldn't supply any. When it came time to check out, we couldn't find someone to do this...we asked our bar staff person from the night before where to find someone, and he just pointed and said down the end of the hall. There was no one and we had to hunt and eventually found someone at an out building...which was actually reception but not where we checked in. We have been travelling now for over 10 weeks since leaving Australia, and in many countries and we go home in another two weeks. In all our time away, this has been the most disappointing. We make reasonable allowances for places we stay at, but the dismissive attitude by the people here we found particularly disappointing. Stay there by all means, but eat and drink away from the property.

Staff was kind and quick to help. Dinner - very taste meals. The breakfast was ok in terms of choice. Would be nice to have a choice of scrambled eggs or some other hot options to choose from.

they were very friendly and the food was great

    rooms are a bit dated

Breakfast fine. Location fine, easy to find.

The facility to make tea or coffee in the morning would be more inline with good hotels in these days. 2 cups and a small kettle in each room would be a great idea.

    Surroundings, cosy

Rooms were very hot and had no air conditioning or fan...The fridge did not work. There was very little information given at check-in about how to check out.

This is a lovely building in a lovely location. The staff were very friendly.

The WiFi was a joke unless you sat in the bar. Considering the cost of this place, I would have expected good quality WiFi in all rooms, not just the bar area.

A green bubble just outside bustling Antwerp. A golf and polo club and a hotel in a Victorian house near a 14th century castle. The castle is worth an evening walk. The food was truly excellent, the smoked sea bass alone was something to return for. The outdoor seating area overlooks the forest and the golf course, which view one needs to take in with a nice glass of Belgian beer or dry wine. Staff was friendly, classy and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good too, Free parking on site.

The room was large, with a beautiful view, separate shower and bath. The only thing we missed was a watercooker in the room (because we travelled with a small child and bottles need to be prepared at random hours of the night).

Large, comfortable room. Lovely park (golf).

The weather was incredibly hot on that day and the rooms have no air-conditioning. It would have been an idea to provide at least a fan to move the air about. I spent the nite with the window open and the door to the corridor, trying to get some air. By morning my sheets were wet with sweat, unfortunately. If it were cooler, it would have been fine. The restaurant, however, left a bit to be desired. The menu was fine, but the chef could have done better. With seats for 150+ people when full, but only 10 dining that evening, I wonder what would have happened, it was full. My friend ordered the filet pur and I the veal cutlet. He asked for medium rare and I told the waiter to make sure that the veal is not cooked too much and remains pink to reddish. When these arrived, my veal was grey and dry and his steak had only a small pink spot in the middle. He decided to eat his as the taste was still good. I sent mine back. I must admit that when the new cutlet arrived, it was very good. Desert, unfortunately, was not much, either. Baba was taken by my friend, and since I have worked extensively in Naples, I know it well. Out comes a piece of sponge cake lathered in whipped cream from a can and a few berries on the side. No taste of rum and dry. One would expect a bit better from the restaurant linked to a golf course. I am sure they can improve as the waiter staff were very good.

The restaurant and a few fans, at least, for guests when it is horribly warm.
