    • Breakfast was delicious and the location was the best part. Charming, lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved it!
    • This is a great hotel in a very relaxing setting. Everything was very classy and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was something to remember. Everything is super fresh with numerous choices.

    Cons -

    • I like everything, but wish the pool were heated.
    • Seafood in the restaurant was consistently not fresh and management didn’t seem to be interested in the feedback.
    • The cleaning service forgets that ppl may be sleeping in the morning. Having full on conversations in the hall. They also apparently don’t understand the meaning ofa non disturb sign. They decided it was a good time to run some maintenance while we had the sign. Kept knocking on the door and asked to come in. Minor, but nonetheless annoying

Property is beautiful! Gardens and location is amazing! So nice to come away from the hustle and bustle, and literally under 10 minutes away. The pool and spa is lovely! Large room with 2 balconies

The pool area and food offered at the pool bar was great.

The restaurant/bar upstairs was all but non-existent. They had the facilities to have them but never had them staffed, nor any indication how to get their attention. Also zero signage or menus anywhere to showcase the food options. One thing Italy is known for is food, and this upscale hotel felt like it was trying to keep their food options a secret aside from the pool area. Also, the hotel is outside of town, and could benefit from having a small golfcart type transport offering to take guests to nearby historic city center. The breakfast is a slight step above continental…more protein options should be added if they wish to appeal to an international crowd.

Location close to Polígnano a Mare with parking. With an early flight arrival we we welcome to enjoy the pool and lunch until the room was ready.

Pop music playing around the hotel.

The place is nice, as are the views. Breakfast is great and the restaurant food is tasty. The pool area is quite big and pleasant.

Minor details need improvement. For example, the apartment had a nice wine fridge but no wine glasses. Slippers were available but only in one of the toilets, for half of the guests. The jacuzzi was not clean and the place in general could be cleaner.

Grounds are nice , has a car park, easy to get into town, breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful

We ate in the dining room one evening and the food left a lot to be desired ..

Wonderful staff, the fabulous views ,great chef

Unhealed pool, too cold to swim .Maybe just the time of visit

Lovely property. Far enough out of town to be chilled. The staff were fabulous and extremely helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It can be hard to find decent family rooms and the adjoining rooms with double on our side and twin on the other worked great, with a bathroom each too. Could do with a bit more storage so you can all unpack. Lots of ‘empty’ units for the TV and bed side tables. I get that these are a design choice but the footprint could be used for drawers etc. As it was, we were there for three nights and only unpacked for the kids. We lived out of our bags. Beds were comfy and nice linens and towels. Breakfast was the best we had during our two week trip around Puglia. A great selection served down in a nice sunny room with outdoor and indoor space. The pool area was lovely, with choice of shade and sun. Staff at the bar and reception were all v friendly. We didn’t try the restaurant, although it looked nice, the hotel was v quiet mid October and we preferred the town for a bit more atmosphere.

The only downside were the flies. We were there mid October and they meant you couldn’t really sit by the pool for more than a couple of hours without going mad. Also with the distance to Polignano (no more than a 10 min drive) we thought taxis/tuk tuks would be reasonable. We were quoted 70 euros per tuk tuk return, so for a family of 4 would be 140 euros! Insane. We had a car but had hoped to be able to not drive and have a drink but not at that price. Of course this isn’t the hotel's fault, but something to be aware of.

    1. rich breakfast2. very comfortable bed and pillow

    1. wellness extra 40€ - I didnt see this information during reservation2. massage a little expansive 30min for 50€

Bright clean and friendly. Nice location just outside the touristy area but close too. Great breakfast.

    8ElizabethPosted on: 10-16-2024

The pool area is very relaxing, the staff at the bar are attentive and personable. The morning breakfast was very good, with a large selection of savoury and sweet options.

There is ample parking on site however, the driveway beyond to the hotel is gated and it is not clear how to proceed to the property. The sign indicates to phone, there is no contact via WhatsApp and we had data only. After leaving our suitcases and walking to the hotel lobby, they quite willingly brought us back via golf cart to collect our belongings

Location was beautiful. We didn’t have a car but used a Tuk Tuk to get to the hotel from Polignano Old Town, which was super easy. Fantastic breakfast. Very clean and comfy room.

Don’t book the Tuk Tuk via the hotel as it is more expensive.

Lovely property. Beautiful location. Comfortable bedding. Clean room.

Spotlessly clean, all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, I made full use of the pool. The boat trip recommended by hotel was well organised with transfer and lots of fun.

While it is in a quiet location out of town it did mean a 15 euro tuktuk trip each way into town as the road was not walkable.

Amazing experience staying at San Lorenzo. The breakfast was delicious and something we looked forward to every morning. The staff was lovely and the location was great - only a 10 min tuktuk from the city center. Would stay here again!
