Hochwald Lodge

The hotel is beautifully renovated and from welcome to departure the staff is super friendly and attentive. We were there with a group of 4 motorcyclists - we were allowed to put our bikes in the small garage under the hotel. The rooms we were in had great mattresses, king sized. The rooms were large and feature great bathrooms with powerful rain showers.Breakfast buffet was delicious, a la minute prepared scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, broad selection of cold cuts, cheeses and fish, juices… everything was there. We will be back

Since I am a coffee drinker - the only thing I could as for would be an actual coffee machine in the room instead of powdered coffee. For the rest everything was just perfect.

We expected more from the breakfast, wasn’t like in the pictures.

Breakfast was excellent and the location was lovely. The attached restaurant was very good, both food and staff. The hotel manager made his garage available for us to park our motorbikes.

Excellent hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was brand new and spotlessly clean. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and full.of choices. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing to mention

The stay was very successful. The hotel is in the centre of Morbach and has parking right outside the door. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. The breakfast was also very excellent! There was a huge amount of choice. The idea of making your own waffles was great! The hosts were very helpful and very friendly! Highly recommended!

A small minus was that there were no tea and coffee facilities in the room. But that is only a very minor minus point of the very successful stay.

Beautiful, quiet and clean rooms, I think we were even upgraded to a bigger suite/room. Breakfast was also really good and we had a great dinner at the Bistro.

Everything was great! The only thing we were missing was a lift to get a pram upstairs easily, but we were told that’s already in the works!

Ideal location for exploring area

Nothing,as rooms all been renovated to high standard. However was disappointed that details given about room at time of booking did not match what we found; there was no kitchenette area in room with table and chairs;no fridge or cooking facilities so plans had to be altered on arrival. Renovation of rest of property also in progress so workmen on site.

Hell

rooms were above the restaurant and kitchen. You can hear everything happening in the kitchen and the smoke from the people in the restaurant enters the room even with the windows sealed. The worst is the restaurant turns into a night club and plays loud music until 3am. Did not get any sleep. shocking experience!!!

The breakfast was outstanding. Location was good as well.
