El hotel no est� mal. Solo un c�mulo de fatalidades que nos acompa�� desde que entramos en el hotel.

No pudimos entrar hasta las 2 de la tarde. Luego, la habitaci�n asignada estaba ocupada. Menos mal que en el momento de entrar no hab�a nadie. Hizo viento por la noche y hab�a una cancela abierta que no dej� de dar portazos. No puede dormir.

The hotel had a good layout, with gardens and swiming pool.

The swimming pool was closed, even though the weather was still warm in.mid October.It was difficult to adjust the thermostat in the room.Food options at the hotel were limited.It was explained that these problems were due to the fact that my stay was at the end of the tourist season.

very bad, poor quality and not up to hotels standards

When arriving, the shower had an empty shower gel dispenser, it was dusty and had some sand residuals on the floor.During the night, you could hear every noise from the corridor as the door doesn't block any sound, plus the bright light from the corridor again could go thru the bottom of the entry door so the room had light coming in.The drain pipes from the hotel were passing right by the ceiling of the room from the ground floor and you could hear liquids going thru the pipes very loudly every 10 minutes at night, a nightmare in noise to try to sleep.The staff didn't seem to be bothered as they were fully booked and nothing else to offer and it was their answer.

The view and location

The list is long: this property on the in slide was nothing more than a Motel 6. I have no idea how this is a 4 star property other then the outside has been maintained but definitely not the inside. Horrible pillows, beds, fan disgusting, elevator & hallway gross plus smelled! No coffee in room and the room feels like a hospital room - sterile and one piece of tasteless “art” and the food nothing more than school cafeteria food. They will do nothing to make it right or offer a refund or discount because they know their property is falsely advertised!

We could have wanted for nothing. Comfortable bed, beautiful surroundings and, above all, excellent service from amenable staff. Nothing was too much trouble

No way to get hot water for making tea or coffe.Sloppy caretaking of common spaces e.g. corridors with dirty cups and plates left over for all day.Breakfast always short of something, including silverware, napkins, food.Personnel sloppy and uncooperative, always finding excuses, never solutions. Sauna closed for summer as "of course it's hot outside" while anybody using sauna knows it's a year around thing, regardless of is it hot summer outside or not. Pure ignorance mixed with a good dose of arrogance and patronizing. Never again!

We chose this hotel because the location was very close to our friends’ wedding’s venue. The building is nice from the outside, good swimming pool

It really needs renovation. The bedroom and bathrooms are very old, the doors from other bedrooms slam all night so you won’t get a proper night sleep. And overall not good value for money

The set up of the hotel is beautiful and comfortable for a family

The food and cafeteria service are not up to the standard. The food menu is limited and both the meal quality and the service are bad and slow.

The hotel´s location is excellent for those seeking quiet, yet proximity to city life. The swimming pool is nice.

The staff is neither welcoming nor helpful, except for the bar staff. The food is eatable, but flat in taste.

Dirty room with hair. Reception staff has no eye contact and unable to speak in English - including good morning.

Beautiful hacienda, parking lot, tastefully furnished, beautiful garden and pool. Short drive to Mijas, our favourite place in Andalusia.

Room needed updating

It was clean, room was big. I requested a twin room which was fulfilled. The view from the room was beautiful.

They advertised the air-conditioned rooms. Bcz of which we chose this hotel , but they did not allow air conditioning in the rooms. It was just a fan blower. It was very hot there, we asked the staff at the desk three times to turn the air conditioner on, but the lady at the reception got very rude and said "We will not turn it on yet. If you dont like the fan, then turn it off"We then went out for the day when returned in the evening, they had blocked our access to our room, and we had to go back to the reception to request to activate our room key card again. Everyone had no choice but to open the balcony doors for some air. But then there is very brighting lighting outside the room windows/ balcony doors, bcz of which you can't sleep. So you have to draw the curtains close, which blocks the air. So it was very uncomfortable 4 nights we had in this hotel.The buffet dinner and breakfast was just ok. We just had them once.

While Hacienda Ilunion Mijas benefits from a convenient location, our overall experience at the hotel was unfortunately poor.The one positive aspect I can highlight is its location. It offers good access to the lovely Mijas village and is also relatively well-situated for reaching various beaches in the Malaga area. This made it easy to explore the surroundings, which was a plus.However, despite this advantage, the hotel itself fell short of expectations.

The rooms we encountered were considerably used and dated, a far cry from what one would expect from a 4-star establishment. In fact, based on the state of the rooms and the interior in general, this hotel feels more like a 3-star at best.Our initial room was in exceptionally poor condition, full of dust, featuring damaged flooring, walls, furniture, an awkward bathroom layout, and a noticeable bad smell. We had to view a total of four rooms with the receptionist before finding one that was somewhat acceptable, though still not meeting a 4-star standard.Another significant disappointment was the breakfast. During our seven-day stay, we did not find any vegetables offered as part of the breakfast selection.On a positive note, we were pleased with the housekeeping service, which consistently did a good job of cleaning our room throughout our stay. Additionally, the exterior of the hotel, including the gardens, plants, and pools, appeared to be very well maintained.In conclusion, while the location of Hacienda Ilunion Mijas is a definite advantage, the dated rooms, neutral staff, and other shortcomings made for a disappointing experience. Based on the interior and room quality, it does not live up to a 4-star rating.
