Great staff especially, location, comfort, clean. Will be back

Breakfast was great, loads of choice from continental to al a carte options. Kids loved the cakes, fruit and pancakes as well as the Spanish hot chocolate! We played tennis and paddle, which was great fun, though I'd say it was a bit disappointing that these were not free to use. Airport and a number of towns are less than 30 minutes to explore, so it was a really easy effortless stay.

The outdoor pools are lovely, but totally freezing in April! The spa pool had family time to book into for the afternoons, but this was also so cold I could not get in!

Beautiful hotel, quality and cleanliness of a high standard. Breakfast food was well presented, and lots to choose from, including hot breakfast served to you. All staff were warm and helpful.

The food was of a good quality, plenty of choice. However cost of the meals at both lunch and evening was overpriced. I stayed at La Zambra last year and the prices have significantly increased. Whilst all the meals were lovely, the hotel had cut back on their seafood ingredients! This with the price increases didn’t equal value for money this year.

Exceptional staff, great food, well maintained hotel complex, and a spacious and comfortable room. The hotel is surrounded by a golf course and the hotel‘s gardens blend nicely with a lush greenery.The staff were always very friendly and helpful. :)Would definitely recommend.

Nothing - couples should though note that it is not an „adults-only“ hotel.

I don't know what could be done to have a better experience :) this is just world class. It may be the best 5 star experience so far (I've done a few!). Great with children as well (there were many families with children). Beds are extremely comfortable. Restaurant is great (we only tried the main one that is).

I had an incredible time staying at La Zambra. Parking was very easy (and free) with a valet service for most of the day. Check in was easy and they offered us a room upgrade. The resort is full of natural light, the restaurants have a great view. My room was wonderful and relaxing. The staff were wonderful, and even arranged some small touches as it was my birthday. Communicating was easy over whatsapp for booking massages etc. The free yoga class in the morning was fantastic and the breakfast buffet had more than enough choices. All in all I loved staying at La Zambra and I was so happy I chose this resort.

There were many aspects of this stay which we enjoyed including our room and the size of the property. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast had decent options. But the a la carte menu was sadly lacking and we were directed to a coffee machine in the corner which made below average coffee. On the occasion that we did get a barista made coffee it unfortunately wasn’t good.

The tap water coming from the bathroom had a very strange taste and smelt like chlorine. We were also left disappointed when we asked for a quiet space for an important work meeting (baby needed to sleep in our hotel room) and were told to use the lobby, bar area or pay €100 to use a room for one hour. Given that the hotel was relatively quiet and there were other options they could have provided, this was poor service. The food in the restaurant and room service was also a let down.

Staff are so friendly and most importantly HAPPY. Hotel is well equipped and lovely and clean. Food in the Restaurant is good, but pricey

The 30€ charge to use the indoor pool for2hrs!! Weather was poor.

It was quiet and pleasant

The room was in a corner just over the restaurant and hardly any sunshine. If someone stays for 10 nights. It should be a better room. No sitting area in the room available. Relatively small room as the bathroom was included

The public areas are lovely, as are the staff.

The outdoor pool wasn’t heated!!

The staff throughout were exceptional. Friendly and helpful.The Spa was wonderful. The food in the restaurant, unexpectedly good!

The toilet door was only frosted glass and was too short.

The hotel is in an amazing location with a beautiful view. It is beautifully designed with a king and helpful staff. The service was impeccable, the facilities amazing. The room was big and comfortable and very clean. We also loved the food and cocktails in the snack bar and the breakfast, everything was perfect.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. So well done. Restaurants and bars do good food and cocktails.

The staff came across slightly pretentious, and I felt like I should have arrived if my Rolls Royce if I wanted to get better treatment. Also be aware while it is listed as dog friendly, they charge €75 per dog per night, make you sign a page of rules and told us we could not take the dogs anywhere on the grounds essentially. We were even told we must take them out the resort on to the grass on the curb across the road if they need the toilet. Given what they charge for the dogs to stay they should at least be allowed on the grass I the resort... we definitely felt like dogs are not welcome and we could never relax as we felt we might get in trouble for something.

The location of hotel is awesome. The gardens and inner yards is fantastic. The rooms , lobby and the breakfast hall are well- designed.

New hotel

Service need to be improved: in the restaurant. When one doesn’t have time to have breakfast due to golf , but one didn’t get a box for simple sandwiches. The water in the whole spa area is too cold. The product brand from facial could us a better product.

Absolutely stunning Hotel, with lovely interiors and such a welcoming team. The restaurants are also wonderful!

Fantastic room. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever had.

Pool is part of the spa, and as such not included unless an extra is paid.Gym is minimalistic. A pity.

The renovation is charming and beautiful.

I told them that I left my sun glasses on the table at breakfast. They did not seem to care despite showing them a selfie with my glasses minutes prior to entering the breakfast hall. They said we don’t have access to security cameras. This is despite their staff member handling my sunglasses personally while moving my table to another. What a shame that they think their staff are saints and above any theft.

Beautiful location overlooking Mijas Golf course and the mountains. Very nicely decorated spacious bedrooms, we had a suite.

The hotel was cold. All the corridors to the reception, bar area, dining area were freezing. Airconditioning in bedrooms had to be cranked up to 31 degrees to take the chill out of the room. Then it was too stuffy….
