ROYAL HOTEL THESSALONIKI

Hotel was beautiful. Nice pool and grounds. Staff nice and helpful.

Hard to find in the dark. Small signs at the side of the road and then up a hill.

The view and its closeness to the airport. Useful shelf in the shower.

The restaurant staff wasn’t really helpful.

Conveniently located close to the airport. The bed was comfortable, there was a nice balcony, and the internet worked very well. We appreciated the four bottles of water and the wide selection of disposable toiletries provided. Big parking.

Poor cleaning quality. The wall around the light switch, where you insert the room card, was very dirty — it’s quite noticeable and unpleasant; it really needs to be cleaned or repainted. A couple of the bedside lamps were flickering and need replacement. There were hairs on the shower floor. The breakfast was also very limited.

We were upgraded to s/v room with a terrace and it was great. Thanks. Breakfast is delicious and well organized.

Coming with luggage and there is only stairs to reach reception? When asked we were told that there is a way around the pool, which is quite far…Nowadays, accessibility is very important.

We have stayed here before several times as one night stop before flying home. Hotel is a little tricky to get to but the hotel can help with directions. Looks like the rooms are getting a refresh as ours was changed since last year with updated colours and new furniture, it was looking dated but a lot better now. Staff are great and always friendly. Breakfast is ok hot selection could be better. We have tried similar hotels near the airport but we have decided this is the best value for money one and will use it all the time in the future.

Nothing much to dislike, you really need a car if your not eating at the hotel but thats more advice than a complaint

The rooms and public areas are very spacious and clean. The rooms are new and comfortable, they have a terrace with great views over the Thessalonki bay to the sunset. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to all our needs. Beautiful pool (we didn't have a chance to use it). Location - 10 minutes from the airport, Close to the town of Peraia which has a nice beach promenade with many good bars and restaurants. We were sorry we were only staying for 1 night.

Location is a bit secluded but if you have a car and your business is in the airport area, this should not be a problem.

The hotel is located in an industrial area, not far from Thessaloniki Airport. It has a large private parking lot and is surrounded by greenery, which gives it a pleasant atmosphere. There’s also a nice swimming pool with a bar, as well as a good on-site restaurant.Our room was spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. The queen sized bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was roomy, the shower was excellent, and there was a high quality fan and premium toiletries.The room also had a safe, air conditioning, and a mini fridge stocked with four complimentary bottles of water.Wi-Fi was strong and stable throughout the hotel.Breakfast was good and varied, with fresh local products.Service was flawless, efficient, friendly, and truly heartfelt

The breakfast buffet was good. There was everything that needed for full breakfast: eggs, pastries, bread, smoked salmon, meats, fruits, veggies.The staff of the hotel was excellent, very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and nice. Especially, I would like impress my big thanks to reception people, to wit: Savvas, (very nice and sweet), Kostas, Raphael; Terry (beach service) and manager Iordanis (I hope the spell is right:)

The balcony did not have awning and it was uncomfortable in the morning with the sun shining directly in your eyes

Clean, quiet, good food. Friendly staff.

Only gripe is the way the entry is set up. There’re multiple stairs up to the entrance and the last thing you want to do is go up and leave your luggage behind at the end of a long flight. Especially if you have something valuable with you.

Location was great and the hotel was very nice overall. The staff were very helpful and nice and a very nice breakfast spread.

The mattress were pretty stiff and the pillows too hard and not enough.

Close proximity to Airport; spacious room with view of the sea

Poorly designed to easily bring in luggage - one must ascend outddor multiple stairs from the parking lot to get to checkin. Your unable to bring a baggage cart to this area. Staff did help but it was awkward.

- The amability at the front desk. The lady there really helped me with all that I needed and in a very polite and supportive way.- Nice view of the Thessaloniki bay area- Strong AC.- Very good WiFi.- Large terraces - Comfortable bed and pillows- Plenty parking spaces.

The rooms are a bit worn out, but is acceptable.

Super clean!! Great location near the airport! Staff was wonderful and the food was great!! Highly recommend!!

It is a hidden gem! Modern but small enough to have that personal touch. Staff were very accommodating and great! Highly recommend.

I came back to the hotel and it was even better than last time. This time I also ate dinner at the hotel restaurant which was very good. Timos at the reception was extremely helpful and the location is so easy with the car

Close to the airport - clean, comfortable, nice view.

External noise - cars racing at night, music coming from somewhere. Wi-Fi in room was weak but was ok in the lobby.

If there’s anything positive I can say, it’s that the bed was comfortable and the suite itself was visually impressive.

The air conditioning did not work, making it nearly impossible to sleep. I reported it to the front desk, but even the following night, the issue remained unresolved. After speaking with other guests who experienced the same, it became clear this is likely a hotel-wide problem. I was absolutely miserable—sweating to the point that even after showering, my clothes would stick to me. It’s hard to enjoy a luxurious suite when you’re overheating the entire time. To add to that, the coffee cups in the room were filthy—both of them. It looked like they had simply been rinsed and placed back, not properly washed or replaced between guests. Needless to say, I skipped making coffee altogether because I couldn’t bring myself to use them. That level of hygiene is unacceptable.The breakfast was average at best—bland and uninspiring, just your basic hotel buffet offerings. The restaurant food was also just okay. I had the pork chop and potatoes on the first night, and while it wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t particularly memorable either.There were also small but telling oversights that reflect a lack of attention to detail: no shower cap provided in the bathroom, and only a quarter roll of toilet paper available upon check-in—something housekeeping should absolutely catch and replenish. I had to call the front desk just to get more toilet paper, which should never be the guest’s responsibility in a four-star hotel.
