Towada Prince Hotel

The location is perfect, direct access to the lake. You’d really enjoy your breakfast and dinner with a wonderful view. Attentive and helpful staff at reception, breakfast and dinner. Also appreciated the coffee and tea service at the lounge. Onsen is amazing, open air looking into the foliage garden. During my two nights stay, one night I enjoyed onsen with snow and the second night with clear starry sky. I did not know the day after our departure, the hotel will be closed for the winter season. Would love to return again at this peaceful place with an outstanding service.

Location is superb

It feels old and overpriced. The food was fancy-looking but wasn’t really worth the premiumPricing. The staff was foreign, couldn’t speak fluent Japanese or bearable English and made it feel like a budget inn experience… despite the stiff price tag

Open-air onsen.

Room is small and cramped.Need to pay Yen2300 per day for cleaning. I thought cleaning the room is standard. Why need to pay more to have the room cleaned?

Cosy and clean place.

1. Toilet sit is bigger than the actual toilet (see picture).2. In breakfast we couldnt choose from the menu and instanly got meat slthough we are vegitarians.

Superb location by the lake with amazing views. Staff were fantastic. Set dinner menus were so good, with great variety of dishes and elegant presentation

Located on Lake Towada n close to Oirase Gorge. Nice expansive gardens. Old style n stately accommodation

Smallish rooms n need to climb steps to bedroom floors. Aging facilities need updating

The breakfast is good with the great lake view.

The location is too far from the bus station. It is not suitable for the customer coming to Lake Towada by bus.

Lake View was really nice. You can see sunrise from the hotel. Some staff were helpful and friendly. French restaurant dinner was pretty good. Free coffee at lobby.

Some staff attitude were not helpful nor friendly. Bathroom is a bit small but the common hot spring bath was nice but wish the open hours were a bit longer so we can use it after breakfast.

No sauna nor cold bath in onsen. Rooms are old.Be aware that there is nothing open for dinner within long range drive besides the overpriced restaurant. The reception staff did not warn me about this when I asked about dinner options and took my car. Google map unfortunately was not up to date with restaurants early closure schedules. Phone signal does not reach all the time around the lake. The service and food at the captive restaurant are well presented. Food itself is average. I did not like the cold fat in the lean small piece of meet. The hotel proposes instant noodles as an alternative. A fair price or alternative menu would be welcome. Breakfast was not inclusive even though the place is so remote.Overall I stayed two nights and the enjoyment of the beautiful lake scenery was overcome by old facilities, limited onsen, the lack of information and poor food value proposition.

Right on the lake so you can take a walk along the lake. The breakfast and dinner was very good. Onsen was very nice.

The older hotel and the facility was not updated. The carpet, especially to the Onsen was very dated.

This is a very great leisure hotel for holiday. The location is great. The view of the lake is very pretty and wonderful. I highly recommend to book a room with Lakeview because it is very relaxing. The breakfast and dinner are both very delicious. The stuff most of them are very nice as well. There are stuff who can speak English and a little bit Chinese so I really appreciate that. Onsen is great as well. It’s pretty big and clean and, it’s really functional

My room is on the first floor and because there isn’t much sunlight so there is a little bit small of humidity which I dislike, so the stuff lend me an air purifier and it works

Very elegant and restful in a beautiful scenic location. We enjoyed the formal French dinner and the onsen bath. Surrounding area is scenic with many beauty spots to visit.

The dinner meals were exceptionally good. It was western cuisine and just presented stylishly and tasted excellent. Breakfast was typical Japanese and good too. The establishment has its great garden by the lake and this is exactly what I am looking for - serenity without stepping out. The simple unsophisticated open air onset further adds to the uniqueness of this hotel.

If a hotel is to offer warm hospitality to the travellers, then please consider offering lunch service in-house.

The view of the lake and trees was beautiful and peaceful The onsen was lovely looking out to the view Breakfast and French dinner were included in the price and both the food and the service was to a very high standard. The staff were attentive and friendly.

The bathroom was a little small especially for a tall person like my husband which added a comedy of how to get in and sit on the toilet If I was staying again I’d bring a topper for the bed and it was hard
