A room is relatively small to stay 2 people

The location. We were across the street from the Otaru canal and next to the tourist information center. The hotel was a short, eight-minute walk from the station. We could not have asked for a better location.

Everything was perfect.

Great location, friendly staff

Breakfast is so so. Food is not keeping hot and doesn’t fresh. The hotel is outdated and needs a big remodeling

4 beds were excellent.

There is a strange smell when entering the room 412. It seems to come from an old vacuum cleaner, which needs urgent attention.

Staff was helpful got me moved into my 2nd room early when requested. Great location

A wonderfully old-style hotel in a great location in Otaru directly opposite the canal, close to the shopping areas by the canal and only a short walk down the hill from the train station. While the hotel is a bit dated (it is part of its charm though!) the room was spacious and perfectly clean. We had a car and the hotel provided easy parking options. We don't normally have breakfast at our hotels, however the buffet breakfast at Hotel Nord was extensive and delicious, and worth the few extra dollars when booking a room as the value here is great. Would definitely stay again if ever in Otaru again.

The room is quite old

The location was amazing, walking distance to everything; Sapporo Station, Clock tower, TV tower, Niju Fish Market, AOAO aquarium, and Odori Park is right outside the front door. They have parking and the attendant is the nicest man. The onsen was perfect, clean and had everything we needed including great ice cream varieties. They have two sets of washer/dryers and you can use an app to pay. Breakfast was good and the guys welcoming you were always happy.

There wasn’t anything bad. They delivered pajamas and towels everyday when it really wasn’t needed and felt a bit wasteful. We were there during the New Year and nobody at the front desk could tell if any gatherings were happening, we specifically asked about Odori park and the Hokkaido Jingu. They had no idea, which seemed odd for a hotel in the center of the city but they were always very sweet so can’t really complain.

This is the best hotel of our trip. Very good breakfast. We have three people in the room. The room is very big. Have to bathroom. Recommended.

Really nice and cosy hotel, close from the train station and with a direct view on the canal. Room are spacious and staff is welcoming.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very convenient for getting around (to the port, the market, and the city center). The in-room amenities are well-equipped, and the design is very refined and practical. The room feels warm and cozy in winter.

The location is perfect and fortunately it’s snowing during my stay. I really enjoy the breakfast here and highly recommend. The interior decoration is also beautiful.

Location

No A/C, the room felt like a sauna, we called and asked for a resolution but the staff didn’t really provide any just told us “ there is no A/C and you cannot open the window “I had to call back and asked if they had fans, and they only gave us 1 saying that the breaker might trip if they give us 2 (Am I supposed to believe this?)Bathroom smelled like urine, and the humid room temperature didn’t help the situation eitherI won’t come back - would rather pay higher price for somewhere more comfortable

Beautiful view of the canals. You walk outside and you are right there so great for waking up early and taking pictures with no one there. Just a short walk uphill to the fish market perpendicular to the hotel. Check in was easy he knew English. They have a stamp. Smoking room. Rooms are big and bathroom are nice Japanese bath.
