Grand Park Otaru Hotel

When I made reservation, I searched for based on 2 adults and 1 15-year-old child, and paid the fee. But when I arrived to check in, the front desk asked me to pay the extra fee for 2 nights for children. this kind of experience is really terrible.

The staff are very nice, speak well English. Also, very concerned about my smoke allergy and gave me a room which is completely smoke free and with a nice view. So impressed. Thank you.

NOTE: you do preferably to have a car with you if you want to stay in this hotel.

Accommodation is too expensive relative to the rate.

Comfortable, clean, great breakfast buffet! Cool retro vibes and views of the harbor. The staff was very accommodating following our travel delays.

Location a bit far from Otaru town but positive is that it’s literally connected by a mall to the JR Otaruchikko station so it’s convenient for public transportation travel.

The staffs provided good hospitality service, Teppayaki in the restaurant was so good and reasonable price. The location is just closed to Otaru Main Street.

The room actually needs to be renovated. The bed quality is out-date so we may not sleep comfortably.

Beautiful ocean views. Moon reflection was glistening against the ocean ripples. Massage service was excellent, too.

One night not enough!

Clean - nice views of the water. Clean spacious rooms. Loved the access to the mall!

The place is ideally situated right next to the big mall, where you'll find a variety of shops and restaurants to explore. I like that the hotel is old-style, which makes me nostalgic for the past, but it is clean and well-kept. Guests can comfortably reach the train station via the covered walkway, and the breathtaking view of the bay adds a special touch to the experience. The staff are genuinely respectful, warm, and eager to help make your stay enjoyable.

None at all.

Very good breakfast Very big roomGood views towards mountains and bays

Need to walk a long way to pass the shopping plaza to reach hotel after getting off the JR station

It’s huge, and connected to an old Aeon mall

Shower curtain are dirty and stinky. Facitility is old, room have smell even though we asked for non smoking

Ocean view room very nice. Great location. Great front desk service

This is our second stay here. The carpet needs to be replaced as it’s soiled and noticeable.

Spacious room, connected to the station and the mall, and plenty of parking space

Cannot adjust the temperature in the room in winter. Staff suggested opening the window instead. It did help.

I like the Ocean View and Size of the room. Enjoyed.

Location. Although there is two shopping malls next to the hotel, but nothing much in the malls. Closed very early.

Breakfast is always good at the GPO.Liked the adjoining shopping centre, restaurants and supermarket.Good car parking setup, always a spot close to the lifts.

Excellent for the whole family for skiing in Kiroro

Ski buses are full, and must be booked well before your stay

Room was spacious, clean, and had a great view. I forgot some items after checkout and the staff were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to send my things back to me. Thank you so much!

Full service hotel, well located, reasonable price. Great views.

Not much

Large rooms. Comfortable bed and great breakfast

A little far out of Otaru shops

Rooms were large and comfortable. Great Views and friendly staff

The only restaurant was exceptionally expensive, we could not afford it.

Great view at breakfast (when it wasnt snowing). Good to have a few dining options close by in the adjoining shopping centre - even if some were not that great. Staff were super friendly. Room was good.

Parking process was not really explained properly (r maybe i just didnt listen well enough) - so got stuck trying to get out a couple of times. Breakfast had a reasonable variety but wasnt that great in terms of flavours. Our worst japanese breakfast - that included staying at a hostel. Everything was luke warm - coffee was poor. Location not great - bit painful being out of town.
