Dormy Inn Premium Otaru

The breakfast is awesome and the hotel provides free Ramen at night as well. The onsen is really nice too!

The room is a bit small but I think that's pretty common in Japan.

Clean, comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, in hot Al onsen fantastic! Parking!

Perfect location, nice onsen, good breakfast.

Rooms are a little divey but comfortable enough.

Complimentary ramen and ice cream is always a positive for Dormy Inn. Clean, staff was nice and accommodating.

Complimentary pear pudding was just alright.

The coffee machine only provide coffee. It would be great if can have more variety like mocha, cappuccino and cocoa drink

Best location indeed, nearest to the JR Otaru Station, with dondonki and daiso infront of the hotel. Hotel had the best buffet breakfast I have ever had in Japan. Surprised by the free flow of coffee and tea at the lobby, free supper every evening, and free flow of milk pudding and ice creams for the guests throughout the stay. Felt very pampered indeed.

The onsen was great and very clean. The rooms on the other hand were very dated and did not look like the photos, they have aged and even though they may be clean, they didnt look that clean.

The rooms were much smaller than depicted in the photos. They also were a bit dirtier and less maintained then it appeared.

Amazing onsen and amazing breakfast and night ramen as well as great location

A two minute walk to both the train station and the famous Sankaku seafood market street. Plus the Dormy Inn excellence in facilities that come standard with the hotel such as a hot springs inside, ice cream afterwards and a free soup noodle after 9pm. Plus this Dormy Inn was cheaper than other places making it a great deal.

Staff are very kind, bath facilities were better than expected.

Double bed was smaller than expected.

Loved the location with the train station and a Department store just across the road from the hotel, so handy! Really loved the onsen, it was excellent. We all loved the complimentary evening noodles we ate every night. They were so delicious and great for the Vegan in the family too!

The showers in the hot spring is not enough.

Proximity to station and other town features. Quality of onsen water was good and having onsen bottle water for drinking was a plus.

Our good friends, a Japanese couple from China accompanied us in this trip. These were surprised at the tiny size and grubby quality of rooms we reserved so much so they traded rooms saying they couldn’t lie on the floor on futon bedding because it would hurt their back and instead opted to use our room which had a western bed. The truth was their room was a corner room with two windows offering beautiful illumination and a view of the mountains, while our two rooms were dingy, dark, very narrow, each with one internally looking window. The rooms were really dark, dank, musty closets, not worth the cost we paid in comparison to accommodations in Asahikawa, and Sapporo on this trip.The lobby had three high back, leather chairs, two of which were so worn and tattered that holes were visible in the raised area where you sat. This hotel seemed more focused on capturing tourist dollars than offering an aesthetic experience at their price point. The staff was professional, helpful, and friendly but I think they were operating with limited resources and making the most of what was given/provided by management.Otaru is a special place due to its history, but the sheer volume of tourists is a sad turn off.

The onsen area was amazing! Also very accommodating and lots of free amenities like free late night noodles, ice cream, and a treat that comes with the room.
