Hotel Carmine

Hotel Carmine is a lovely hotel, quiet, elegant, and beautiful. The hidden garden is lovely and the perfect spot to sit quietly in the sun or read a book. The room was well appointed, with a comfortable bed and soft linens. Service was excellent, professional but friendly. Breakfast was tasty and ample. If in Marsala again, we will return to Hotel Carmine.

The hotel was a bit difficult to find due to being tucked into a small piazza.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They stored my luggage for me until I returned a few days later. It was a very elegant, large lobby, beautifully furnished, and decorated, and my room was very nice. It was a very reasonable price for the comfort and beauty of the hotel.

Internet very slow, seating accommodation in garden could have been more comfortable.

The breakfast was superb. Lots of fresh and varied food. Our room was really well appointed . They let us check in early which was nice.

Again, we have to say about the parking. They told us their was ample parking on the adjacent street- there was none! The girl at the desk insisted that there was ALWAYS parking available. SHe was not helpful but they afternoon desk manager was great. Then they said that when we got a place there, we had to move the car by midnight because of street cleaning. Parking in the plaza in front of the hotel was not supposed to happen, but two guest cars did. When I complained, I too got to park there, so stand your ground about parking!!

We like the location of the property, the staff are nice and friendly. The breakfast was really fine and abundant!As I needed a weighing scale, I was given at once help.I forgot to ask to give is added pillow, but anyway, we did sleep well.I would suggest adding hangers and drawers to put clothes properly in the bedroom.The shampoo and shower gel were quite spary.The discussions of staff, in the hotel, can be easily heard in the room.

no kettle, so couldn't make tea or coffee. There was a mini bar/ fridge so could have had fresh milk to put in tea or coffee!

The hotel was well located. The building was an excellent renovation with a lovely courtyard garden (though the suspended glass floor over some unremarkable tiles on the first floor is disconcerting and a trip hazard at the top the stairs)Very comfortable big bed.

The room felt cramped. The shower door leaked a couple litres on to the bathroom floor at every use. The room was next to the breakfast room (which they didn't tell us) so there was noise of preparation from very early in the morning.

Excellent breakfast which was not included in our room price. Lovely position of the hotel to stroll round the old town of Marsala and easy parking nearby.

I was able to park right in front of the hotel's main entrance. The elegant and well-deserved breakfast in the fabulous place was excellent.

The room is on the lobby floor, but it wa a little frustrating because there were no windows

The beds and the pillows were quite hard and uncomfortable. We had a workman outside our window at 7am and he woke us up.

Calm, very beautiful, sympathetic to its roots as a convent, very relaxing. Lovely lounge bar area and garden. The entrance is a quiet courtyard with easy parking. It felt like a 4 star+ hotel. Good breakfast. Very nice, attentive staff. Over a fantastic hotel.

No complaints at all. But as we were new to Marsala, perhaps provide guests with some notes on where to go, good restaurants etc? We actually found some fantastic places to eat but perhaps we were lucky. Info on a tour of the Marsala wine cantinas would be good? Also nice beaches- lidos? And how to get there.

Breakfast was varied and beautifully presented. The breakfast staff were attentive and courteous. The room was simply furnished which was lovely and very big. The location was perfect, centrally placed in the old town. The bar area and garden were exquisite. The staff in the bar and at reception were friendly and happy to help us at all times. A beautiful hotel.

I liked everything about the hotel.
