Pfalzhotel Asselheim

Room was large with a great view - comfortable bed. Spa was a plus. Breakfast was very good.

Prices were a bit high for food and lodging - but worth it!

The staff were nice and friendly, the room was very spacious and with everything needed. The breakfast buffet in general offered plenty of things.

One day there was a breakfast event, and for this reason, many items in the buffet were gone and not replenished, which was a bummer, but understandably, I guess they normally don't cater for that many people.

Comfortable room and mattress. Ideal location for a gym competition in the local town, and located near to a supermarket as well as walking distance to bakery's, restaurants and shops. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming.The buffet breakfast was a hit for me and my daughter.

The pillows..too flat and no alternative in the room. It would have been nice to have a kettle and mugs/tea in the room.

No tea or coffee making facilities. No water fountain or drinks machine. Unable to get water in the middle of the night if needed/wanted

Near many wineries to walk to. Very clean and with no AC, at least provided a fan. Parking was good also, and Breakfast was outstanding.

Being told that the on-site restaurant was (1) only for guests (which we then replied we were guests) then being told (2) restaurant is full for the evening. That is ridiculous and false advertising to say you have a restaurant but Americans with their Hispanic wives are not welcome. I don’t know if we were denied service due to race or what the real reason was, but being the only restaurant in town and being denied service is ridiculous. No way should they be allowed to advertise having a restaurant

No refrigerator or air conditioning in the room. It's difficult when the temperature outside is over 30°C.

The room and staff were great. Stayed here sunday night and monday night. The restaurant in the hotel was closed on Sunday night. Thus, we have to walk a distance to look for restaurant. Like very much of the room as it has a long table and bench which is very practical as i need it to put my stuff and working too. Also enjoy the scenery from my room. Superb.

The pillow is too flat and soft for me.

Breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable. Parking was available and easily accessible.

Breakfast selections or food available decreases at the last hour of the breakfast time. Hidden charges (i.e. parking in their designated parking spaces) not advertised anywhere. This was only known to us when they asked at checkout if we parked on their spaces. Luckily we did not as we found a street parking close to our room.

The room was clean, and the breakfast times long accommodating various schedules.

the beds were uncomfortable (no straight mattress), and the price definitely too high for the services provided and the location. The breakfast on one (out of two) days was a bit disappointing (overcooked ham, eggs not refilled promptly, same for the water).

The kitchen clised at 9 PM but they didn't warn us. Also they were quite slow due to a group dinning there... so we missed the dessert... bad organization

The location was perfect for us. And the rooms was fine. That was it.

The breakfast was not reddy at 7.00 am as was promised. We could not pay when we left because the office management was not there, so we got a bill with snailmail afterwords. The payment was way more expensive than when we ordered it on Booking.com. Why is that? We got our evening meal at the hotel restaurant and it was lousy.

We came in Christmas season and both Restaurants and Spa were closed No room service No bar no Cleaning service so no towel change no cleaning, nothing and yet the price stayed as normal Kitchen was equipped but not even a bag of tea or a bit of salt or sugar

The Room is nice clean and quiet.

Everything is ok. No comment about facilities except in Exhaust fan maybe is the time to change the Filters ,only my opnion..

Clean, comfortable, and quiet hotel. After a mixup with a reservation at another hotel, the Pfalzhotel staff calmly dealt with our last minute reservation for rooms. Breakfast was delicious with numerous options to choose from. We ate dinner in the Weinstube at the hotel and it was also delicious with a nice selection of local wines. They also have ample secure bicycle parking space.

There are not many restaurant options close to the hotel if you don't want to eat there.

Everything was good, up to standards.

It's a bit of a maze to find your room and the exit.The layout of the building is not logical. I assume it's because it's several building merged together.The signs to the rooms and exits were very confusing and almost seems to contradict each other... a complicated layout is fine, but the signs have to be extra clear...If there was a fire, a lot of people won't find their way out.

Location. Off street parking, meals,Staff are the best. Very clean!!!

Too hot. Room was very very uncomfortable. The fan they placed in the room did not cool at all. The remodeling should have included split ac systems.
