Loved the property. Interesting history and amazing restoration

The views from the hotel were lovely but there were no nice bars or restaurants close by. This was fine for the 3 nights we stayed but we like to eat out occasionally and this was not possible on foot.

Everything about this real-life palace is exquisite, but the staff and service stand out above the rest. Everyone was so kind, helpful and professional that it was a real pleasure. From check-in where Jesus helped with any question or concern, to the impeccable restaurant service (with delicious breakfast), masseuse and housekeeping staff… I cannot say enough! Thank you all for making my Hyrox experience unforgettable.

Nice, helpful and friendly staff. Modern facilities. Very clean. Newly furbished. Very comfortable. Also do note that there's a flight of steps in the bedroom, so heavier bags can be troublesome, however hotel luggage porter did the job so well from unloading the car to carry all suitcases up in my room. And on check-out, I barely touch my bag, the porter did everything and the heavy luggages are now ready inside the car.

Staff said hotel system showed that I didn't book with breakfast, but in fact, I book with breakfast included. And it caused confusion.

Everything! Complimentary drink upon arrival, property is beautifully located, beautiful architecture, view is wonderful, staff was very professional, room was well appointed, beds were comfy and the breakfast was divine.

We had a little ant issue in our room but it was quickly handled.

Lovely location, great staff who were extremely helpful, a very comfortable stay.

WiFi wasn’t working for entire visit which was understandable when it was windy but even when it was calm it didn’t work

Food was quite expensive

Our room was nice though smaller than expected. Good bed and excellent bathroom, poor view for a higher graded room. Hotel itself is beautiful and a great view over the river from rear patio. Restaurant food was good rather than great but restaurant staff friendly but need training for prices being charged and where they are pitching themselves, the whole atmosphere wasn’t just right. Bar again beautiful but again staff just need a bit more training. Prices are high for the area.

Nothing not to like

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location overlooking the bay . The views from the terrace and pool are what make the hotel exceptional. It’s got an air of class about it. We loved the neighbourhood.

The garden rooms were somewhat dark & lacked space. But they were very comfortable.

Gorgeous inside and out, very spacious room with great amenities and thoughtful touches. The pool was very relaxing, pool bar food was very good, and the staff was very warm and on top of everything. I can’t wait to stay again!

We had lunch by the pool which was very average my ceaser salad had little fried chicken nuggets rather than fresh chicken.The breakfast was not very good the orange juice did not taste fresh and the eggs Benedict was simply awful we tried other things which were also very disappointing for a hotel of this standard. The croissants and pan e chocolate were from the day before as some were fresh and crispy and some were soft and not fresh i ended up having toast coffee and juice which for 30 euros a head was not good.My wife had fresh fruit salad which was tainted by over ripe kiwi and tasted acidy.The service in the bar the first night was terrible we waited 25 minutes for a drink which never came as they had forgotten the order so we left to go for dinner as ran out of time.The staff at the desk were however very apologetic and took us to the restaurant we were going to.It felt to me that some of the staff were new and not trained properly .

Beautifully designed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room as lovely but not in the main building which wasn’t an issue for us but something to be noted for others.

Location and property was great, helpful reception team, cleaners and some of the waiters were lovely

The cooked dishes overall were poor, with a haphazard service in the restaurant and for breakfast , they seemed unable to cope and we could definitely feel and hear there was an atmosphere of tension
