    Pros +

    • This place is so beautiful, and has such a nice patio! We were upgraded to a deluxe room, and that was awesome. They did such a great job setting up the place, to make it feel classy but comfortable at the same time. location is perfect.
    • Complimentary drinks upon check-in, friendly staff, breakfast, large room
    • Internet was an issue. Otherwise it was fabulous!

    Cons -

    • Just note that there is no AC, as like most other small hotels in small towns. But, there are a couple of windows to keep the room cool.
    • No air-conditioning in our room, had to open windows and could hear bells and people on the street talking as the room was right above main entrance. Don't book room 108 in hot weather.
    • Our room didn't have air conditioning.

Clean, tidy and right in the historic city centre

There is no air conditioning in the room, so you have to keep the windows open, and under the windows there is a pedestrian street and terrible noise that does not stop until night. If you wanted to rest in the room during the day - forget about it. At six in the morning I could not find a single employee for checkout after waiting 10 minutes and going around all the open doors, ringing the desk bell, I simply left the key and a short note at the reception and left. One more thing - Please change the towels, it's high time they were sent to the kitchen to change the rags there.

An interesting & elegant hotel in an amazing old village within a beautiful setting, the garden is really outstanding. Restaurant offers good GF options for dinner and a super selection for breakfast, which we ate in the garden.

A slightly cramped room under the eaves as we had requested air con. Parking was a challenge due to the historic nature of the old streets, although we did have two Land Rovers and a trailer, which we managed to squeeze in.

Beautifully appointed property in the stunning town of Gengenbach. Our room, the outdoor area, spa and restaurants were exceptional. We enjoyed two dinners at Cocette and the breakfasts were lovely.

    We loved everything.

Very friendly staff and helpful in providing vegetarian and vegan options. Lovely breakfast. The hot tub was nice and sauna was pleasant. Right near the Altstadt.

The family suite entry was from the street, adjacent to a restaurant. Smokers from the restaurant were smoking right next to the suite door, couldn’t open a window as result.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room by the very friendly and helpful concierge. The hotel was quite nice, spaces a bit larger and nicer than other hotels we stayed in in Germany. Nice little swimming pool and hot tub out back, with comfy robes provided by the hotel. Hotel is connected to a nice restaurant on the main street, where we enjoyed a really good lunch. The town of Gengenbach was quite lovely.

Dinner at the hotel though was disappointing. The staff was great, but the wait for food was too long. And the trout dish I ordered was really not good. We spent a lot of money for a mediocre meal.

The hotel staff is incredible. From the check in until the check out (and even after that) we felt welcome and pampered.Communication between the staff is amazing which helps the guests get what they need even faster. Super attentive. Food delicious: breakfast, lunch and dinner! The facilities are new and well kept. Everything is perfect. You might read very good reviews from the hotel, but once you are there you noticed that it is even better. We are definitely coming back!

Excellent stay in a very nice little village. The apartment we got was really lovely, with all the necessary comfort. I would say almost luxurious. The breakfast is simply incredible, I think we never had something similar in many years of travelling. If the day is sunny you can eat in the garten, lovely. Unfortunately we didn't use the swimming pool or the SPA, since we arrived too late :-(

Nothing to complain about. Maybe the restaurant is excessively expensive.
