SOLYMAR Gran Hotel

Room was fantastic with a large balcony with a street view. Breakfast was fantastic.

Parking charge for hotel guest was €18 per day which is expensive enough.

The seaview rooms, the proximity to the beach, the great service and the possibility to tan from our balcony ?

The night programs can be dull sometimes

A fantastic, modern hotel right on the beach. The breakfast was awesome - everything we tried tasted great. Our room was nicely furnished and had a nice view to the sea and mountains. Probably the best location in Calpe right on beautiful Arenal-Bol beach.

The staff are all so friendly and helpful! Lovely, comfortable rooms and an excellent seafront location! Perfect!!!

The only thing I would have liked to have had was a kettle in the room? I don't drink coffee and using the coffee machine for hot water isn't good as it very often tastes of coffee?! Not great for tea drinkers but this is a very minor issue!!

No toilet brush in the main bathroom.

We were only there for 1 night so did not get to use all the amenities. The open areas were very spacious as was our bedroom.My husband and I didn't like the buffet style restaurant. On reflection we should have chosen to eat out but we had a long drive that day. It did feel like a canteen and personally I thought it was overpriced at 40 € pp. Also the signs in the car park said parking was free to hotel guests but we still had to pay ( a discounted price).Overall the hotel is very nice and spacious with friendly staff at the bar and in reception.

View from balcony to Ifach rock.Clean, comfy and breakfast full of variety. Solo Saxophonist was great and as to was the singer and accompaning guitarist.Good location.

Check-in was tediously long although thorough. Weird toilet pad/brush that was broken and filthy to get to a new pad(unhygenic). No kettle in room to make tea.Hotel provided one when adked but charged €25 deposit(for a cheap €10 kettle!) What and insult to a guest paying €800 for a room!

This hotel is right on the beach front. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by people waiting and happy to assist you. All the staff are always happy to help and very friendly. Honestly the best hotel in Spain I have stayed in.

The only British problem anyone could find is the lack of a British full English breakfast. Having said this I didn’t see this as a problem as the amount of choice on offer was amazing and I loved trying new foods. Just a note from another British traveller at breakfast.

The staff in the bar reception area where exceptional. As it was my birthday a bottle of cava and cake was delivered to the room.

The layout of the outside of the hotel can cause some confusion. Several other guests ask us for directions outside the beachside of the hotel

The breakfast was excellent. So much choice to suit all tastes and dietary preferences.

The entertainment could have been better. Two out of three nights were poor

Excellent hotel in great location with loads of facilities. Contemporary room with all amenities. Only stayed one night so regrettable that didn’t use Will def stay again

Everything, location comfort and staff We booked last minute for my husbands birthday and they made it very special with lots of little touches, excellent room, fizz and birthday cake, thank you Solymar we will definitely be back

The only thing was the hotel was so busy we had to use the overspill breakfast room, it was still very nice x

The position is great, staff are fantastic and the hotel is very clean and drinks are fairly priced for a hotel of this standard

Lovely hotel close to the beach. Beautiful breakfasts and very welcoming staff.

It was nice to get a treat delivered to the room every evening but maybe just keep the treats as chocolates or biscuits. We got a luggage tag and little bags. I don't think we will use them and with policies now of cutting down on unnecessary waste maybe you should discontinue those items.

No Children HOTEL ( the best thing ever) ? nice and quiet, no mess. Perfect location, very close to supermarket , beach and all fancy restaurants!

No free parking for car.

Hotel staff, cheerful and helpful. Rooms with seaview balconies, perfect. No ironing board, so I ironed on a towel on the floor, but room cleaners set up an ironing board in the room after they noticed my dilemma. Frontline on to the beach. Very enjoyable stay.

The hotel pool is a little small for the size of the hotel. However, it is understandable, given its prime location.
