    Pros +

    • Excellence in everything, from location to how the staff treated us. Very clean, great views, and extremely roomy and comfortable.
    • Spacious groundsWalks around the fortress groundsRestaurant (Taberna, not main restaurant)Good size roomEasy walk to BaionaSwimming pool Good breakfast choices
    • Expected it to be more tired, but despite it feeling a little'out of date', the location, property, and clear level of quality was high and not disappointing. Location on peninsula and walk into lively town with excellent food and local ambiance perfect.

    Cons -

    • Nothing, although it wasn't a bargain, we felt it was worth the experience.
    • Everything was just fine, but nothing really special about the rooms that made it worth the money
    • The last time I stayed there, there were robes and slippers in the room for the guests. It was also a spacious room. I thought I ordered the same thing this year. However, the room was smaller and there were no robes or slippers. It just felt very plush the last time. This time it was like any other hotel.

Property was in a fabulous location in the historic fort. Everything was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. Nothing really special about the rooms, but they were good.

The Parador is beautiful. I stayed there the year before in an amazing room - very large with incredible views. This time, our room was quite small in comparison and the view was OK, but not like the year before. We were on an upper level before and this time we were on the ground floor, so you couldn't see out as well.

Memorable place. You’re staying inside a fortress. Unique location. Great room. We got the seaside luxury room. Great breakfast. The waitress during lunch and breakfast (we got the same one) was not friendly or welcoming. Definitely recommend this Parador!

    The waitress was not friendly

Fabulous views and location. Great breakfast Wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy pool and facilities.

Beds are very firm. Was not sure how breakfast buffet worked, that was not explained, otherwise good food.

Our 1st floor room was large and had a great view of the Bay and the mountains beyond.

Bar service people didn't know how to make a Vodka Martini. Kind of embarrassing for such a high class establishment. Be more professional. Antonio was a first class bartender, but apparently, making Martini's wasn't his job?

The breakfast was pretty good, and the servers were very nice, nothing else was good!

The air conditioning was not working, they lied and said they would check on it but knew it was broken all along, the room was very hot, we had to leave the window open to cool it off and it was loud all night, the bed was hard and the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. The room was not clean. The front desk people were very rude!

It was beautiful! Breakfast was amazing! Very helpful staff.

Wish the pool was open longer hours. The beds were hard.

Oceanfront location in an old fortress. with great views of bay. Close enough to walk to city for shopping. Nice informal restaurant for cocktails or any meal as well as fine dining restaurant after 8:30 PM

Beautiful property, great breakfast, clean, and lovely views and grounds to walk.

    Beds were a little hard.

Beautiful, quiet, could hear the ocean even with an interior room, loved it!

Beautiful hotel, nice spacious room . Good food in the bar and a nice view of the harbor if you sit outside. Great breakfast.

It’s a castle operating as a hotel. It was attractive and interesting. A great place to hang out and enjoy yourself

One of the front desk employees was a sourpuss.

Beautiful location, gorgeous building and a lovely breakfast

The beds were a bit uncomfortable and the rooms feel a bit dated. There were really loud pipes.

    10KirstenPosted on: 5-28-2025

The most beautiful and historical place! How amazing to stay in a parador, have a huge suite with a beautiful 270 view. You can see the sunset, the city lights, the beach. The service and food are 10/10! Treat yourself to a stay here - you will be happy!

Views from the property, not from our room which looked over the rooftop. Good parking lot.

Dirty room/bathroom; sink clogged up; room and linens smelled like bug fumigation.

Location, beautiful surroundings, comfortable room with amazing view. Service was exceptional
